Before he gallops off into the Fooler Doolers sunset, I've just got to mention that for many magicians maturing in the '70s and '80s, Daryl was inspirational. He still is.
While other magicians demanded that you gasp at their miracles, Daryl giggled! To those of us who were 'children of the '60s', this was just perfect, the magician as Loki instead of tuxedoed, Vegas chump. So this is a Thank You, Daryl, for your good will, good vibes and Great Magic! Psychological Assembly, Jumping Knots of Pakistan, 'Secrets of a Puerto Rican Gambler' and so much more -- you have been an inspiration to many of us. Matt Field |

Matt: Bless your heart! I like to say this every once in a while but NOT as a religious person, but as quoting Wayne Newton’s character in the James Bond movie “License to Kill”. I’m please that you and I agree that the Psychological Assembly is a good trick worth performing. I’m surprised that more magicians have never heard of it. Well, I guess that I mhould admit that marketing has never been my forte.
I see that you’re from Kent. Isn’t that where Goldfinger had his plant where he melted down gold for his international smuggling? I love England (my wife Alison is from Oxford and we were married in Abington). |
