Hey Daryl,
Many of us have enjoyed your material and the extra "Hot Tips!" you offer for the various sleights/presentations. Would you offer a couple of "Hot Tips!" for Practicing, performing, and creating entertaining Magic? Bosco |

Bosco: For practicing, I’d say practice the individual pieces (i.e. the sleights) until they’re flawless, then put the pieces together and practice the entire routine (or act) from start to finish. Once you’ve reached this level, try practicing while there are distractions around you because there are often distractions in real live performing situations. Perhaps you could have the TV on or the radio tuned to a station that’s in a language you don’t understand.
Performing and creating entertaining magic: perform EVERY chance you get and LISTEN to your audiences and their reactions. I used to audio tape my shows and listen to them afterwards in order to pick up valuable information. This worked well for me and it may for you too. Good luck. |
