The Outlaw Magnum is coming... A bi-fold Outlaw. Hip pocket peek wallet with room for credit cards cash and 20 extra business cards.

I own both a SAW as well as Outlaw. I use the Outlaw when I need to perform a quick peek with a business card. There really doesn't need to be a justification for taking the Outlaw out since it's very innocent and it's clearly an item in which to hold my business cards in. I use the SAW for everything else as well as peeks in a more relaxed situation where I can draw out effects a little bit more.

Just to add to my last post since I've overlooked it. The Outlaw is excellent for pocket writing but it doesn't provide me with as much of an open surface for nail writing as does the SAW. The SAW is a bigger wallet, provides better coverage when nail writing and the entire surface to be written on is totally smooth with no "speed bumps" as opposed to the Outlaw

You don't have to BUY any high-priced wallet to do billet peeking or writing! Darn it! Don't you guys understand? Who was it who said the fewer props you use, the better, the more credible your performance? Learn billet switching. Forget the proppy, gimmicky stuff these people are using as a crutch!

With wallets, each has their place. EVEN Thought Transmitter. The "openness" of the SUC gaff on the SAW is big enough to drive a truck through. -Which actually works well for me, as I like to feed billets through there, and they never hang up. Would I trust it to hold a card flat? Not on your life. If I want the best SUC gaff, I'll use the PJ. "No contest", as you said, Steve. The steel shim in the PJ makes the SUC gaff LOOK like a SEAM, unlike any other SUC wallet, INCLUDING the original. The PJ holds the business card TIGHT in the SUC gaff, with no chance of it coming loose. The Outlaw DOES NOT NEED TO BE RE-OPENED for a FULL CARD peek. It's the only wallet that can boast that ability. But, for carrying ALL my cards, gaffs, and using the index (which is what I use the SAW for 95% of the time), the SAW is the way to go. By the way, Roth is indeed a great self-promoter. But you know what? So was George Foreman when he created his grills- and rightly so. They were a revolutionary new way to grill healthy, and clean easy. If you've got the goods to back it up, more power to you. (Can't believe I just compared grills to wallets) |

I love my wallets. They make handling so much cleaner especially the wallets that allow for closed wallet peeks. Not to mention performing NW and PW will absolutely FLOOR your audiences without any switching. It doesn't get cleaner. I like to PW on a billet in my pocket, fold it, take my wallet which has been in open view the entire time, take the billet out of the wallet, and a MIRACLE right there. Confabulation couldn't be easier and better as the wallets really help facilitate NW. Wallets are not props, they are utilities that are only utilities in the mind of the performer. For your audience, it's just a wallet, they carry wallets so why shouldn't you?

I have been using Larry Becker's "Insight Wallet" for some time now and have no complaints whatsoever. It is really simple to use, remember that the wallet is a tool not a prop and you should never be caught.
It comes complete with a DVD giving various effects and is reasonably (In my opinion) priced. I still do the magic square effect included but with my own presentation. Regards 0045 |

By the way, do not forget ye olde Jaks Wallet - a forgotten classic. I collect most wallets... and it is still amazing how the oldies are still very cool.
That being said, I often carry an OUTLAW, SUC and/or SAW...
