I have not read it yet so have no comment but I was just reading the Magazine and noticed it and thought it might be some interest.

Personally we use verbal signals.

I read it.....interesting...not much new news, but, thanks for the post...keep them coming !

By the way, if it was me....why using manual signalling when you can use mentalist electronic signaling devices. (ie. thumpers or shocks, etc.) By using electronics, people can watch chips, cards or any other hand motion and there is nothing to see Smile

Right. Then, you can get nailed with a matching "device" on two players!

Much easier to explain or shake off than hand gestures.

That's an article from Richard Marcus. But he explains and details more about collusion in his book "Dirty Poker".

You guy are correct...being caught dirty is not the best way to go !

I was semi-serious because some "thumpers" are very well concealed and look like everyday objects like cell phones or pens. So unless you know how to activate it.....people would not suspect that they are dual-purpose devices....at least I hope not Smile

Richard Marcus out in poker pro as well. He talks about how a dealer colluded with him. As for my own collusion, hand signals work fine for me.

Each to his own if it works but we use words because it is easy to learn and can be changed. There are letters in words.

One thing I hate the most at the card table are when some people speak a complex foreign language and you don't understand a *** word. I'm sure that most of the time they don't cheat but you never know...

In poker collusion many used a combination of both verbal and hand signals with the hand signals being the main form of communication. Each participant may use a different set of hand signals to make detection difficult. These signals can also change depending on the color of the deck in play or the door card in stud etc.

The poker mechanics often used universal hand signs as exposed in the Dai Vernon revelation videos along with universal verbal signs (well bad good funny fine = A 2 3 4 5 etc.) Verbal signals have the advantage that surveillance cameras can't document them. Making them popular for casino hard core cheating scams.

In my personal experiences I have noticed poker mechanics are not very careful about there signs. Because if someone who knows what there doing should be watching their dead anyway, forget about the signs.

I think I will form a crew, teach them the lingo, then send my pal in to take their money.
