Wow, it's been a long time. What I mean by that, is that I have been doing magic for about 20 years. 19 of 'em from 6 to 25 and 1 from age 52 till today. Seems that marriage and kids kinda put the magic on hold for a few years. Anyhow, I have just retired from gainful employment and recently renewed my interest. Am already managing not to spray the pasteboards all over the kitchen. Even booked a table hopping gig at the local country club in a month or so (through my son the "agent"). Doesn't seem much has changed over the "off" time with the exception of the high tech stuff, so I think it's just a matter of adjusting patters to reflect the times. Please take a look at my post in the table hopping forum re: close up tables by magictables.com. I am in need of one and would really appreciate the advice.
Thanks for this forum, it is absolutely the best one around! Looking forward to helping and being helped! In the words of Homer Simpson "MMMMMMM Donut" Sorry, I meant the "Where do you put it all?" forum in my previous post re: the table.
"Magic" is merely an illusion, but "Perception" is reality!

Welcome to the Cafe. I am glad you have found us. How nice to know that you already have a magic gig in your future. If you have the opportunity for future gigs, I have some advice for you. Book 'em, Dano!

I think all of us strayed away from magic at one time or another, but yet here we are, and there is no better spot than the Cafe!

Welcome! You've come to the #1 magic site on the web. Enjoy. Do not forget the mentalists' table. It's the one in the corner by the window under the sign that says "A Penny For Your Thoughts," but I sensed you knew that.

So beware of it, (if you can...)
