Hey Guys,
I recently purchased Torn Too from penguinmagic, and here's my take on it. Well first off, let me say, this is REALLY clever. It's one of those things that when you see the method you slap yourself in the face thinking, "Why didn't I come up with that!?" With a little bit of practice, this is definitely going into my TNR routine. Performances: The performances in this download/DVD are very funny, and amusing. Danny has a very fun patter he uses and obviously does a great job handling his spectators. Quality: The quality of the teaching section is Ok. I have a feeling the demo was filmed after the actual trick was.. like LONG after. The quality of the demo is incredible! The actual DVD, not so much. BUT It's totally easy to understand, and it is clear enough. My one complaint, is the cameras were very shake at some parts... Method: Like I said, the method is awesome! I will be performing this, it's just so cool! Pretty much like everything else Danny puts out, haha The gimmick is easy to make, and it will last you quite a bit of performances. This is not hard to do, it's just a little tricky at one part. But don't worry, a few days of practice and you'll be healing cards with your eyes closed! Overall, I really enjoyed this. It's entertaining to watch, and very clear. The method is smart, and practical. I highly recommend this! Thanks guys, Calvin Lauber |

Thanks for the review.
I'm still waiting for mine but it sounds like I will love it. Tim

The effects on the DVD and lecture notes are far beyond your abilities. (They require mastery of the mechanic's grip.) It would only break your heart. Sincerely, Darwin Ortiz.......(This post has got to be in my top 5.) |

You mentioned a gimmick, is it practical to carry? Does it make the trick impromptu (just add the gimmick)?

As danny garcia says in the trailer for Torn Too, all you need to do is carry your deck of cards and you're set, if you need to use the deck for other effects you can ditch fairly easily when getting the cards out.

It's THAT good. haha And if you want to be all strict, no this isn't impromptu. It is for me however, because I pretty much attached the gimmick to my body. I never leave home without it! Yeah, I know how it sounds but thanks for answering my questions. One more: is it worth breaking the bank or can I wait till I get paid again? Give me you honest opinion whether or not this is a must have...now or later.

Does the gimmick last permanently? Or is it simple enough for the usual DIY?

This really is one of those slap in the face methods were you were angry that you didn't think of this. I have had the gimmick for a while but really didn't get into it, not cuz I didn't like it, cuz I was waiting for more subtlties on this effect. Plus I tend to do TORN alone but yeah this is a good effect. and very visual if I might add.

It also has 2 other TnR effects on it, so if money is an issue, I'd probably get that instead (because of higher quantity of effects, and lower price). Can anyone verify this for me/us? |

Tearable Sessions teaches a similar effect with a similar gaff. They are not exactly the same.
Tearable Sessions is worth picking up, as well as Torn Too. DO |

I think the video was filmed the same day as Greed was filmed.
