I need some help. I am looking for some information on this illusion. I believe it is the same illusion that Rick Thomas uses to produce his assistant at the end of his Osmosis routine.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=T_fy6BsFdKc This guy calls it the Gravity Box, but I've only heard of the Doug Malloy Gravity Box, which is a version of the light/heavy chest concept. Any ideas?

This is a different use for no feet. Done by doug henning
and many others. I am not sure but I believe bill Smith made no feet and andre kole designed it. Originally you stood in the box and vanished your feet while your assistants held the box up. |

Really? Hmm, wow. I have seen the No Feet illusion before.. Lance Burton is (or was a few years ago) doing it in his show.
Interesting. Bill Smith does make it. It's about $4500, if I remember correctly.

No, wrong, this is not no feet, I am sorry that I do not know the correct name of this illusion but Rick Thomas does a version in which after doing Osmosis he reappears his assistant Bonnie. Check you tube you should see it done by him really nice. The link above is the same thing just performed different.

The illusion is known as the "Goon Box Production." It is a Steinmeyer creation. The version on youtube is obviously a copy.

Does the jacket come with? I'm considering purchasing this version...also do they throw in the curtains and if so do they match the drapes?

Hahaha. I didn't think it was No Feet. I'm pretty sure of the method and it wouldn't make sense, as two assistants (I'm pretty sure, anyways) are needed for the No Feet.
The Goon Box, huh? The name seems pretty fitting for the guy in that video.. Just kidding!

Dan,
The jacket would not match your hair. Richard

Mara,
I am compelled to ask, how do you address your outright theft of Christopher Hart's stage routine, with which he made his living for years?
It's all in the reflexes.

Perhaps not.
I received a private message informing me that I should address the matter only to the person for whom it is intended and not on a public forum, despite the fact that the offending party certainly had no problem whatsoever performing Chris Hart's material, essentially move for move, in public forums for live audiences. Of course, without his permission. Have a look-see: Chris: http://youtube.com/watch?v=CYR1rredL4I Mara: http://youtube.com/watch?v=umEH1J8Vbdg&feature=related I realize this is rather a bit of a thread hijack. We can happily give it it's own thread should someone deem that necessary.

One of the Magic Café rules states the following:
"While you may personally know that John Doe stole an idea, trick, or effect and is a thief, posting such information on The Magic Café will get your post deleted asap, and with no notice or explanation given. As far as we are concerned, such postings are no more then gossip or libel and fall into the lawsuit category. As has been stated elsewhere, we are NOT a court of law, we are a magic community. Please take any grievances you may have concerning individuals of questionable character to the proper authorities, who are better equipped to handle such situations. 'Nuff said." So while I won't state anything, you can check out Christopher Hart's response to Magic Unlimited's "hand" routine through Richard Kaufman on the Genii forum back on 6/14/06: http://www.geniimagazine.com/forums/ubbt......ost83166 ) Terry
