I was wondering where I could get those little plastic card wallets packet tricks usually come in. I am not looking for a wallet to carry a bunch of packet tricks, just those little plastic folders with a window on one or both sides to slip the cards in to carry them in your pocket without damaging them. I assume they must be available wholesale somewhere, because the people who put packet tricks out on the market buy them somewhere.
Anyone know? Don

Thanks,
I was just too lazy to search, I guess, LOL. I had actually been meaning to ask Barry Taylor and/or Denny Haney, since both of them put out packet tricks, where they get them, but I always seem to forget about it when I'm in their stores. Don

I produced them in three different versions.
1st: like the one linked above to be opened and for two packets with clear plastik inside 2nd: only black with the opening at the top and a small clue if you hold the cards face up or face down BEFORE you get them out 3rd: for my old playing cards so slightly longer, like 2nd version for one packet, but this time with clear plastic at the front so you can see the cards inside.

Hi
I cut out a piece of thin cardboard so it fits exactly in one of the plastic wallet pockets. I color it completely black so it's invisible. That gives you two compartments in one pocket. I use the visible (foremost) pocket for ungaffed cards or bills, and the invisible compartment for the gaffed version. So if someone wants to see the card or bill after I've put it back to the wallet, I let them see when I take it out from the front compartment for investigation. Vidar |

The new O'Connell packet trick wallets discolor the cards after a while, so beware. It's a shame because they're so nice.

Robert is right about the O'Connell Packet Trick Wallet discoloring cards. However, I still use mine for my everyday wallet. What I do is sandwich the cards between thin index cards to protect them from discoloration. Not a great solution, but I do like the wallet for everyday use, and for $30, it has stayed in great shape for 6 months now.

Thanks, guys, for lots of good suggestions. I'm actually not looking for a wallet to carry a bunch of packet tricks. I'm looking for a bunch of little plastic wallets to carry one packet trick each.

I just had a batch of plastic wallets produced by a UK manufacturer. Check out
http://www.imgenmanufacturing.com/pvcwalletstravel.html My wallets are black with two clear pockets inside (one on each side). The measurements are 152 mm x 112 mm (open) and 76 mm x 112 mm (closed). Drop me a PM if you're interested (please state quantity). |

Don ~ Go to WalMart and get some business card wallets. They are about 3 bucks apiece. One of these will hold 8 cards easily. Looks professional, too.

Geoff Williams suggested using a regular baseball card clear plastic holder (cut the top off) for keeping gaffed cards in it for ease of taking them out and prevent problems of them sticking together in the summer.

They are 99 cents at penguinmagic. Search on card wallet. Usually they even include free some gaffed cards for a packet trick, though without any instructions or documentation.
