Can anybody point me in the direction of some good sites for downloadable magic?
I'm particularly interested in good teaching videos, covering close-up effects. Am happy to pay for the effects - just wondering what the best sites are that offer instant gratification! |

After reading this, I got the Joining. I was close to giving up after I got stuck on stage 3....when suddenly it clicked!!! Although I still need some practice to get it down pat, it really was the best $5 I've spent.
Now, for downloadable magic try: http://www.ellusionist.com I know, not everyone's cup of tea, and yeah, it's overpriced, but Brad's videos have the best quality. http://www.danteking.com Dante's the man, his PM is still a good buy. http://sleightofhandmagic.com/tricks_list_page.htm Out of all the cowboy groups to come out on the heels of Ellusionist, this is probably the best. http://www.peter-eggink.nl/meltchange/ An interesting card/colour change. The following are a few others I have found, though I can't vouch for them: http://www.sincitymagic.com/index2.htm http://www.streetillusion.com/ Hope that helps, Ben |

There are lots of videos at http://www.sleightofhandmagic.com
And very low prices too. http://www.trickshop.com has lots of e-books, and most of them are really good. |

The joining is pretty cool, althought you may need some hard practice if you want it too look really good and set it up fast and infront on spectators.
I downloaded and I think is great. You can link rubber bands with the same method too.

I bought oil and water, kings and 4's, ace assembly, mystery card, and pocket interchange. They are great, I think tyler is a good teacher. He goes through the sleights well. Oil and water was my first card trick ever.
