Hello Everyone,

I have been trying to perfect the Hofzinser Spread Cull (Control). I have found many places where it is on tape. (Daryl's Encyclopida of Card Magic, Pocket Power, and two other Daryl videos)

What I am looking for is a description of the Hofzinser Spread in print??? I do know that there is at least one place so far, Michael Ammar's Magical Arts Journal.

I hope that you guys might be able to help me find some more descriptions...

Thanks
Mark

If you take a look at Daryl's ambitious card video, there's a description of it there. I'm pretty sure that he describes it. Good Luck!

It's in Card College volume 1, but I'm not sure that's the best explanation.

Wait a minute, it should also be described quite in depth in "Scam and fantasies with cards" by Darwin Ortiz. At least I remember reading this somewhere else in this forum!

I'll have to check Scams & Fantasies With Cards when I get home! Thanks!

I believe Michael Close also describes a spread cull in his Workers 5.

Versatile Card Magic by Frank Simon - out of print for a long time, but I understand it is being reprinted - that is as good a description as you are likely to see. Then again, you can always try Hofzinser himself - the Dover reprint is about eight bucks... There are many other sources but those two come to mind as the best starting points.

There is a wonderful tells-free handling in the Ron Bauer Private Studies Series - "The Chick Trick", called the HofBauer Force - highly recommended! Not to mention, the trick itself is an act unto itself and a *** fine piece of magic - in fact any of the Bauer Private Studies are worthy of your most intense scrutiny...
