I know that Alvo already gave warnings in his manuscript with regard to 'writing twice' on the initial post (those who have this will understand, those who don't wont).
I did one TOO quickly last week and didn't take that advice for the first time in 9 performances. Result? As Alvo suggested, a more-than-my-jobs-worth post office worker had a good look and proudly managed to get it to the spec. As it happens the spec is totally baffled (as I said I was) with regard to whats gone on. I think I got away with it. However, fellow mentalists, please accept my apologies for potentially revealing your craft to 'muggles'. I am truly ashamed but it will not happen again!!! I do hope however that my pish-poor performance is a warning for all. SORRY bobser

Thanks for the heads-up! My natural sloth would have caused me to ignore Alvo's advice, too. I bet you've saved a lot of us some embarrassment.

Good point Iain, although I might prefer to use what might be regarded as 'an ordinary envelope'. Since my faux pas I have (and would recommend to others for their peace of mind) written, waited 24hrs, then re-written on a couple envelopes and can say that yes, Alvo's advice is good, it simply works, especially if you write gobbeldy gook on the first one (although not actually 'gobbeldy gook'you understand).

Thanks Ian. I think the colored envelopes would work well.
