My worker's vest arrived today and I promptly used it today for my bar magic. I haven't played around with all the features, but I've found it to be a great tool. I broke out my extractor for the first time tonight, and was having fun utilizing the topit for automatically resetting my decks. The next thing I want to experiment with is the ditch for the flip stick. As soon as I get enough money together I am going to get a few more.

*Review*
Upon opening the box, the look of the vest just laying there was a sight. Just the texture, was wonderful. Everything on and of this vest was carefully though out. Bobby must have went through many trials and errors until the final product is what you receive now. I took the vest out and examine it. I email Bobby and told him that I was going to need a two color vest. He replied that there was no problem with that. I even got to send him the exact colors I wanted and here was able to make the vest out of those exact colors. The custom two tone red and black is just what I wanted. The weight and grade of material is unsurpassable in my opinion. Bobby has found the perfect material to produce this vest with. It has weight and durability, yet is light weight and breaths well. The buttons and button holes, I don't think, will ever fall off or tear, due to the triple stitching on and around them. The breast pocket and lining, again has very durable lining and fabric. It stays open enough for easing ditching of coins and whatnot but also can act as a chute that leads the items down to one of the two topits. Two "traditional" topits deeply and widely line the inside the vest which are accessible from the outside pockets of the vest. Two easy to get to thumbtip ditch/holder pockets are in/on the vest. One on each side. No more fumbling for the TT anymore. always in place now. The TT pockets are always ope ready for the ditch or steal of the TT. The flipstick pocket is a dream. I bet Cellini is proud. That is all that needs to be said about that. But just incase... again always open for the ditch or steal of the wand/stick. but closed just enough so you can move around and it will not fall out. ( a good place for fire torches or Juggling sticks to be held for my no magician friends.) Made of the same durable material the TT pockets are made of... After vanishing the stick/wand open your vest and spin to show its gone, then let go of the vest and show your hands empty,The best part about it all is that it really in all concealed. I do tip my hat to Bobby. For the thought and hard work that went into and goes into every vest. For a tool that is easy to use that you can depend on, you need to get it. For the professional, this is an investment. An investment you will be thankful for... Makes me proud to wear it. Makes me proud to busk. I will be buying more of these...i mean that. Nothing about this vest this half assed. Busker Gear delivers... and you can put your money on it.

John,
Curious, why would you need or want "a few more" Are you looking at different configurations, or just different fabrics ? |

Thanks for the reviews guys. I usually were a sports jacket with modified pockets...even in extreme heat. So that why this vets appeals to me.
My question...is this best for busking or can this be worn as a nice looking vest to perform at more formal venues. I did view the buskergear site and Josh's pics and can't really tell. I don't busk, but would like to use it in my regular gigs when the temperature gets a bit too high. Thanks for your help. Rich |

Hi Rich,
I would hold off on your purchase. I heard somewhere that Bobby, the brains behind this vest, is considering releasing another more formal vest in the future. It will have all the same features but will be designed with the professional corporate magician in mind. I am actually in the same boat as you but I already placed my order before hearing this news. Either way I think this vest will work for kids parties in the summer. I can't wait to see the more professional version though. E-mail Bobby and ask him to let everyone know on this thread....and keep me in the loop. |

My post has been confirmed. I think either the USPS either is very slow or lost my vest. I sent Bobby an e-mail tonight and he called me on my cell within 4 minutes of me hitting send! The customer service is honestly the best I have ever seen.
We chatted for a bit about the delivery problem and worked out a good solution. Bobby is going to put a trace on the package tomorrow and I will check my P.O. Box one more time tomorrow afternoon. Keeping my fingers crossed... Anyway I talked about Bobby's products and he is currently working on a more formal version of his workers vest. He is also working on pants and shorts for buskers with plenty of pockets (similar to cargo style pants). Everything sounded awesome. Bobby was a very nice guy. He even gave me some tips on how to use my vest when I finally receive it. He has big plans on expanding his business/site. I will let you all know what I think of the vest once I receive it. |

I just heard that the vest Price is increasing in a week or so to 175.
He also mentioned the "elegant". A more formal vest, he might be taking orders for that now if you give him a call. |

Got my vest. I Love it! It's very high quality and it will last a long time. The topits and TT pockets are a dream to use. I consider it my uniform now. Thanks for a great product.

What are the key differences between the worker's vest and the elegant vest?
Thanks! Dan. |

The main difference is between the fabric that the two are made out of. The elegant vest is made of a glossier, more "elegant" material. The worker's vest is designed for more of an outdoor "busking" venue, while the elegant vest is more for other venues. The worker's vest has a flipstick pocket while the elegant vest does not (can you imagine doing a flipstick routine for a walk around set in a restaurant while waiters are trying to walk by you with trays full of glasses?).

I love them...I got one of each, and Bobby is a great person to work with. I don't do as much busking as I plan to do in the future, but if you are doing walk-around out doors in the middle of July (which I have), then wearing a suit or sport coat is the last thing I want to do...the worker's vest is great for this. The elegant vest is great for indoor formal shows.
