Hi
I am a twister and I am interested in doing magic tricks with balloons (made for twisting or not), do you know any good???
I already have :
- a round balloon is cut and restored
- sale effect with a twitsing balloon
- spike through a round balloon (I know Tenyo has released one version with a gimmicked tube for twisting balloons)
- the twisting balloon swallow
Thanks.
PS (I also posted this topic in ballooning 101, but I think maybe it is only asection for twisters. and excuse my english)

Richard Osterlind has a great borrowed ring in balloon dog trick which is published in his book "Three Miracle Routines." Mark Jenest has a signed bill to balloon which is incredibly easy on his video "Miracles While You Wait." He actually performs the trick on the street for a balloon twister. Hope this Helps.

Rannie Raymundo has a practical signed card to balloon effect that is found on his Raytrix DVD available through Vinny Marini's website.

You might want to check out Mark Jenest's Miracles While-U-Wait DVD for Billoon - A spec's signed bill magically appears inside a balloon!

I don't remember the name of the effect, but I used to do one where you have a card selected, lost in the deck, and then take three cards from the deck and put it into a balloon dogs mouth (ok, where the mouth would be which is the fold between the neck and head. And then the dog spits out two of the cards and the card remaining is the chosen one.

Thanks for all the advices. I will try to take a look at "tivoliland" Mr Tivoli, I learned balloon twisting with your video tapes and I was quite pleased with the way youy teach things (I am also French and your tapes are those you can find the most easily there).

I forgot all about the Mark Jenest effect and I have the VHS. Thanks for the reminder as it was definately an easy to perform effect. I'd recommend this DVD highly not only for the balloon effect but many of the others are "worth the price" as I've been using several since the tape first came out. I love the Short Hop routine. It made me put my hopping halves coins in the drawer to substitute in Mark's routine that uses coins you can do hundreds of other effects with too, while not having a bunch of s***ls clanking around in your pocket.

Hi
Just came across this posting. I don't sell my Ketchup Game myself - you have to purchase it through www.hocus-pocus.com
I don't stock all of my own effects as Hocus has exclusive on many of my items.

Not a 'trick' per se, but a wonderful piece of business with balloons appears in Michael Fraughton's book 'The Dark Waltz' under the title 'Latex Hounds of Hell.'
Best,

I second Norm Barnhart's Comedy Magic, and would add Kevin James' card in balloon, the Wolf Card in Balloon, and several silk in balloons out there. Also, the Funhouse uses balloons for appearances, and don't' forget all the Forgetful Freddie balloon tricks and Magic Marksman by Practical Magic.
