I will admit, it is simplistic; but it looks nice!
Good job!

Can you strike the match again and give it to someone to light their cigarette or whatever?

Hey Jonathan,
I can't see why not. You need to let the match burn for a second or so but after that it's a normal match. Matt |

Matt - if I understand what you just posted...then you might have a winner there - as the old joke about "can you make a match burn twice" could take a new twist ... you light it - it goes out - you restore it- you light it again and let them have the match. -Yes?

No offense but it would make more sense to hold the match the other way? The match looks like it was dipped in paint not burnt.

Hey Jonathan,
Just to be absolutely clear. There's no reason why you can't do exactly what's you describe above, but that's not what I teach. The sleights required to do the above aren't difficult - the gimmick isn't angle proof but the above would be possible. I typically start with a burnt match. Have you got a light. Oh, only this. But... PM me for more details. Quote:

I just think it looks better holding the burnt bit... to me it seem more magical. More controlled. Unless people have zoom-eyes, no one will ever see it so close up. Matt |
