This is indeed sad news. I have only recently been introduced to Nicks work and really have enjoyed everything so far. It's evident to me he was a wonderful thinker, and a brilliant Magician. My condolences to his family, and all those who knew him.

I express humbly, my deepest condolences to his immediate family. Nick Trost was and still is an influence in my approach to card magic. He will be missed but not forgotten, may you rest in peace. Thank you.
Cardamagically, Dom. :)

Although I never met Nick, His books have been very influential to my card magic.

Y'know, the last packet trick I got was Nick Trost's "Maxi-Twisto" and I do it quite regularly now - Great trick! I read a great deal about him here and though I'm much more of a coin guy, I really liked his simple approach in presenting some wonderful and amazing card magic. His work was just some good solid thinking and pretty slick stuff at that. I do a few very good card tricks and Nick Trost's work is among them. I'm glad I caught his train in time.
My condolences (and those of La Famiglia's Inner Circle) to his family. He seemed to be quite a wonderful card man and even better, a great human being that I've read. God bless his soul and thanks always for the great magic & presence he left to us.

"The Card Magic of Nick Trost"...now that's quite something to have left behind to account for his time on this planet. RIP and thanks.

Very sad indeed, to lose someone who has given so much to the fraternity. I heard recently that H&R Magic Books, publishers of Mr. Trost's most recent book, "Nick Trost's Subtle Card Creations, Vol 1" have in their posession enough material for many more volumes. If that is true, we can say another thank-you to a real class act, for making his work available to us.
So long, Nick, and thanks one more time. Don
Woke up.
