Hi all, I am noticing more posts from folks using or asking about using chemicals in their work. I work everyday at a research location that uses LOTS of chemicals, and I wanted to share a resource for safety information with you all.
http://www.hazard.com
This website will take you to the SIRI MSDS database; for both chemical substances, and commercial things (various window cleaners, etc).
If you have not used one before, the MSDS can look intimidating; but the important stuff is: the ingredients (of what you are working with), and the hazardous properties; like flamability, corrosiveness, reactivity (do not drop it) etc.
It may not look like a magic topic, but I find chemistry pretty darned magical! Smile
