Check this video out for some ideas:
The Magical Say No Show This exciting video gives you a glimpse into Ron Conley’s successful school assembly show—a program which teaches kids about the dangers of drugs and helps to enhance their self-esteem. You’ll see routines taken from one of Ron’s live assembly programs. Includes; Miser’s Dream, Bare-handed Candle Vanish, No Go Yell Tell Silks, Self-esteem Coloring Book, Red Ribbon Week Hat, Ron Conley’s No Camera, Souvenir Poodle, Cigarette Coffin, Funny Business, Vanishing Bottle, Cigarette to Gum to Dollar. In all, seven routines with a Say No message, plus several others just for fun. 40 minutes. P.S. I have this video and I like some of what he does. He did give me some ideas I could use in my show, however, he is not me and I have to adjust what I like to me! Good Luck

I'll share an idea with you that is quite successful, at least in my area with drug awareness for kids. It is the basic Needle Thru Balloon trick.
I use the patter that the balloon is our bodies, and that sometimes, we do need drugs to make us well... and only, if you know what you are doing, then the drugs will not hurt you (needle going thru the balloon), But, it's when the drugs are not taken the way they should be or are drugs that we should not have, that the harm comes (take the needle and pop the balloon). This patter came about one time when the doctor gave me a prescription for medicine for my son, and he didn't want to take it because he was told to "just say no" ....and that's what he was doing. It took me awhile to convince him that the medicine the doctor was giving him was okay to take. Sometimes, kids take you literally at your word! Margarette
The only stupid question is the one not asked.

Thanks Margarette.
I think that that is an excellent routine.

The video mentioned by Dennis is by Ron Conley. He also has a book titled "Drugs, Strangers and other Dangers" which is quite good.
Don't know how long you have to prepare but Daytona Magic has the book. Have fun
