I've been trying to think of a way to use a couple of split-faced kings I have for my ghost deck, I love jumping Gemini, But I've had a few people inquire about the kings towards the end. I wanted to use them so all 4 kings appear at the end instead of one 3 times then a second for the next.
I guess I'm writing this to see if maybe there is already a trick like this (I only know of the impromtu version with 2 kings and 2 other cards), and if not, any suggestions on makeing it work? Thanks a lot in advance! Brandon |

Here’s an alternative handling by Bob Kohler – maybe it will spark some ideas..!
http://www.vimeo.com/2490906 (password is 'vernon') I'm Not sure what you’re doing toward the end but nobody has ever asked me to see the 'kings.' The Kohler version ends with the Rhythm Count which is more open and relaxed than the Gemini Count and thus eludes suspicion. |

That's what I need to do. I learned almost the same version, but the ending of that was beautiful, a couple little flashes of two diffrent colored kings would definatly help with suspicion.

Decent routine, but Ortiz version is far more superior...cleaner looking and displays more convincing. If you're being challenged at its ending, you must be doing something wrong in the timing/patter/lead in to next effect at point of putting the cards away. Using gaffed cards is not the answer. What if you still get a request to see the cards???
I first saw this effect in 1976/77 at an Ortiz lecture and it floored me. I've used it on and off now for over 30 years and have NEVER been challenged. If you don't already have it, obtain "At The Card Table, Vol. 1" DVD. Great performance and instructions on Jumping Gemini, plus some other great stuff as well. |

Only resources I have at the moment are;
Darl's Encyclopedia of card sleights vol. 1-4. Everything Card tricks (which isn't EVERYTHING lol, but it was a gift) Encyclopedia of card tricks Erdnase, at the card table (I know this isn't the entire name, just woke up, thinker isn't working at this moment) I get paid tomorrow and will probably take a trip to San Fransisco to Misdirection (closest magic shop near me, hope I can get there before the rude pedestrians hit the streets >.<) to pick some stuff up, and hopefully a few more refrences. I will definatly be on the look out for somthing explaining Ortiz' technique, thanks for the advice =). |

The book by the same name - if you can find it - is a better option as it explains all the routines (some aren’t on the DVD) and some more for less of your earth pounds (or dollars). |
