I love this routine.
I wanna listen... (read) if you used it in your repertoire. I will used it, but with a little modifications. 1.- No tables, only spectator's hand. But isn't a Spectator Coins Across, because I think if the first coin travels to the spectator's hands, isn't building the effect. Maybe the third coin arrives in the hand, and the fourth coin in the spectator's closed hand. What do you think? Bye!!

I've been using this for a few months, and man, do I love it. It really looks like magic. If you like the method, you may want to check out "A Familiar Ring" in Paul Gertner's book.

It's like Daniel Garcia`s Coin Across in his DVD?
I don't like this structure, isn't building (for me of course). It's like, ok... ok ... ok ... bum! No, I like the Roth routine... Ok, wow, WHAT!!, OMG!!! ;D

I do the Roth Shell Coins Across with the exact same handling that is described in Expert Coin Magic. I prefer to do only the last stage in their hand because if I do it earlier, it ruins the suspense of the last magical pass into their hand.

In my mind... the third coin is building the last arrives in the closed fists...
But I'm not try it ... I try, and I will tell us.

I have used this for many years and love it. It is simple in execution and allows for you to really focus on your presentation. Doesn't get much better IMO.

Roth has said in the past if he was allowed just one effect to perform to
get a job or impress, it would be his SCA. Tom |

Do you blame him ? This routine is the real thing IMO. Very clean, very deceptive, very magical, just as David would say himself...

Excellent routine in hand or at a table!
In those impromptu(?) moments I'll use quarters. Totally amazes! |

If you like the Shell Coins Across, check out Garrett Thomas's Imagination Coins routine from Inside the Mind of Garrett Thomas v.2. He takes it to another level.

Roger Klause has an excellent routine for the SCA. Check his book or vids from A-1, I think Meir Y. has the rights to it now.

Roth is an undeniable master, and his handling is perfect, but his SCA suffers from the same flaw that almost all others have - the constant re-counting (or re-handling) of the coins between each phase.
Granted, with a ] it is easy - and seemingly necessary - to redistribute the order of the coins(+ ]) for the next transposition - but if it was "real" magic, wouldn't the coins just be able to go one at a time without all the extra handling? There are ways around this dilemma, and the Roth routine really doesn't exhibit those improvements, IMO. TW

Roth's Coins Across w- [ as in the linked video, and on his Ultimate Coin Magic vol 1 DVD does not require the aforementioned counting; except for the fourth coin.
