Saw 11 year old do it at a convention, but great work still!
Kid could do just about every move out there except palms as hands were way smaller than the cards(and don't start with the Malini stories, kid can learn palms in a few years) |

Reversing the 18 card faro in Mnemonica Stack immidiatly comes to mind. @spencerpeterson nice work indeed by the way |

There is real routines that use anti-faro but they are published. It was part of Christian FISM act in the late 90´s, early 2000´s in one routine, but it isn't published. He also has few other uses for it but as Kalle said, he doesn't consider it worth learning really. Paul Wilson and Michael Weber are supposed to have some work on it as well along with some routines.

Unfortunately, most of them are pretty terrible too.

Well, I tried to be nice. This is what I PM'd Spencer:

I saw your video on the Anti-Faro. My point was, of course, to point out that he might have spent his time better learning other sleights. Spencer responded with the following: Quote:
**** You! Ah well. Guess that's what you would expect from a 15 year old. SEY |

Cool SY!
I figure you take a kid with the talent young Spencer seems to have, toss in a pinch of social skills, a smidgen of respect for elders and a dash of humility...... A potentially awesome sleight of hand artist and future carrier of the torch! Good stuff! |

Ick. You sound like a bunch of groomers.
A. Good lord. Learn the SWE Shift and the Anti faro, and the faro and what ever. It's as if you guys know the future of sleight of hand. Perhaps someone will come up with some killer apps for the anti-faro - but not on this forum ... Does anyone remember Jack Nicklaus? Greatest golfer ever, till Tiger. He was taught to swing as hard as you could - why? Because if you don't you'll never get that long swing that produces power and that can be tamed later. You can't hold back when you have nothing to hold back. 'My point was, of course, to point out that he might have spent his time better learning other sleights.' Why? You don't know what he knows. And seriously, telling a 15 year old that he's wasting his time... That's what you're supposed to be doing if you're 15! Wasting your time in finding where you're going. Flee. Run for your life. Funny thing is that I've been reading a book about words etc. and it said that originally 'nice' meant 'stupid', and in this instance, I agree. btw I don't have a clue what 'try' means anymore.
Sack subs, ok Ross?
We miss you asper. |
