Hey guys,

I'm new to this thread, and I'm not really a hardcore juggler. But I just learned about a juggling company called renegade juggling (http://www.renegadejuggling.com/). I've never heard of them before. Are they any good?

thanks

There are three American juggling prop manufacturers:
1. Bryan Dube
2. Todd Smith
3. Renegade

Wow. I have used Dube and Todd Smith stuff for years. Really really like Dube. Never heard of Renegade, unless I just didn't realize what brand I was using. Again, I'm not a hardcore juggler. I think I'm going to give their clubs a try, what size should I get?

The 105mm are the most popular.

IMHO, Renegades are the best club out there on the market.
However, I would have to disagree with AL's comment that 105mm are the most popular. Check with Tom or Bob Renegade and I am sure that they will tell you that the 95mm are, by far, the most popular model. I would say that 85mm were the next most popular. Of the 2 dozen or more members of our local club, almost all have 95mm a few own 85mm and not one owns 105mm.
If you go to the Renegade website and read the descriptions of the club body size they will steer you in the right direction. 105mm are only suggested for more advanced jugglers or for high visibility. They are big, wide beefy clubs. I recently dropped down from a 95mm to an 85mm, but that is because I was working on my 5 clubs a lot and was looking for a lighter smaller club.
If it makes any difference... Anthony Gatto, the best juggler in the world (IMHO) uses 85mm Renegades.
No offense Al, but I would hate to see someone (particularly a beginner) go out and buy the wrong club and end up working a lot harder than they need to. As I said earlier, just read the description on the Renegade website and you will know which club will be best for you.
If passing clubs in a group situation is your scene, then go for 95mm. Not sure when your last IJA was AL, but having been to the last 5 or 6 IJA conventions I can say for sure that the most commonly used Renegade on the gym floor is 95mm by far.
Good luck on your juggling, whichever club that you decide to buy.
Sincerely,
S

Yep, I'm Life Member #165. I just started 'paying dues' again anyway due to the IJA currently going through a challenging time financially. I encourage all you juggle folks out there to support the organization (and all variety arts organizations) or they just might not be there in the future.
