What happen to him and all the recent topics?

I will miss his contributions.
I did find the way he pushed his "marketing course" highly distasteful, but he also contributed thought-provoking things, and did seem to be speaking from a large amount of experience. Indeed, if it weren't for the negative trappings of a "course", i.e. if he had simply published a book instead, I almost certainly would have purchased it.l

My guess is calling Sisti "dumb" didn't help his case much.

He didn't call Sisti "dumb"; he called Sisti's advice "dumb (dumb dumb)".

He didn't call the man dumb, he called an idea the man had proposed dumb. I hope his not being here didn't have anything to do with that.

So he only called his idea's DUMB DUMB DUMB? Well yes that is far different from attacking the man himself. I can see that.

Someone that is supposedly so good at marketing didn't do a very good job at it here. Like a bull in a china shop. Makes you wonder.

For those that think Zach calling Jim Sisti's idea(s) dumb is not the same as calling Jim Sisti dumb, PLEASE, on your regular jobs, during a meeting, when the boss speaks, chime in and say "that is dumb, dumb, dumb" and see how well received it is.

I was just wondering if he left on his accord, or what the reason was. His posts stirred up controversy, but also made you think more in-depth about what should be thought about on a daily basis. I agree though that his posts seemingly tried to market his course, all the while putting down other great resources. It sounded as though he was "above and beyond" The Magic Menu, and that his course is now THE Bible of restaurant magic. Nonetheless it is just one opinion, and I still enjoyed reading the differences of opinion. Even if every post seemed to be nothing more than a marketing tool.
I also did not like the format of the course, and would have bought it if it had been released as a book or PDF's and MPG's. I don't trust courses that you need to log in to a server every time, as one day the site could be gone and so could all of the information you paid for. You also cannot save anything.
