Mac King told me a story that he's told elsewhere, but that I'd never heard. Magic at a memorial service? Wow!

While in my late teens, the IBM Ring I belonged to performed for the Tennessee School for the Blind. I thought this was a dumb joke. We arrived on site and they had a beautiful auditorium. There were five stage performers. I was one of the five. The audience comprised of around 50 Blind students and some counselors. No seeing eye dogs. One of the magicians stood on stage and narrated what was going on. When he would complete an enthusiastic sentence as something magic happened on stage, the kids would applaud like crazy. What a rewarding experience this was, that I thought would be a dud.
