Dear Mr. Carpenter
In the past you and Mr. Ehlers have shared ideas in both or your works. Do you plan on collaborating on anything else in the future? Take care John |

No plans in the works. Would be nice to get him as a guest on the "next" Session DVD. If we can keep the "Session" idea above water, we will make more, with different guests.
Who knows. Might work out! |

Jack,
You probably don't remember me, but at A-1 At The Capitol in Sacramento, we had you, Ehlers, Chosse, Skinner, Klause, Bannon & Jennings-- now THAT was a session I'll remember my entire life! Thanks for all the memories and great card work. I still remember you and Chosse dueling with second deals... Steven Youell |

Steve,
I will never forget that session! I want to thank you also for your wonderful comments on the DVD. Regard remembering people, I never forget anybody. Ever. I often forget their names though, and that can give the IMPRESSION that I forgot them. Do not be deceived! -Jack |

Hey Jack,
Long time no see! I hope all is well with you. The LOOOONNGGGEESSSTTT session I ever had was a quick after-lunch get-together that turned into a 10-hour session with you Steve Mayhew, Chad Long, and I think two other fellas in the lobby/bar area of the convention hotel. I remember going up to my room at one point to get a pack of smokes and coming back down to say, "Okay, one more pack of smokes and I'm done with this session" or something like it. For those of of you who haven't studied Jack's material I highly recommend that you do so, it is just terrific. Creative, fooling, and entertaining. And if you ever catch Jack in person, after he kills you with card material, ask to see his short change routine with bills - it is awesome! Best to you Jack, Paul Cummins |

Yes Paul! Lot's of cigarettes! We've got to kick those. .
Actually, the way you put it after about 7 hours was, "Well, one more pack and I'm outta here." Now kids, let this be a lesson for you. It's very sad that Paul, Steve, and I are actually able to tell time in units of "packs." A "pack", used as a unit of time, is about 3 hours. We also have another unit of time that we use, beer-- but it takes some knowledge of physics to do the conversions necessary. (When I use beer units, they must be raised to the exponent "e" and multiplied by Reynold's number before Steve understands it in "time" value. Very complicated.) Paul, thanks for the kind words, you're no slouch yourself as everybody knows! Hope to see you soon! Your friend and fan, -Jack |

Just checked in and saw this thread - wow! Hi Jack! And please say hello to Steve Ehlers! It has been a long time since the Santa Rosa/Sacramento days, and boy, do I miss those times! Anyway, just wanted to say hello and wish you, Jack, all the best - thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with the Café members...
Best, Paul

Great to hear from you - Any chance you might show up at Dorian's GGG?
(By the way, I'm now ready to perform that "trick" you and Jerry Camaro horrifed me with years ago!) -Jack |

Hi Jack!
Great to see you on here, although it looks like I missed the party! Was that session that Paul's talking about in Seattle? 10 hours? Wow, I guess I was using the beer "units of time" that day, ! Take care buddy, keep up the great work, and I hope to see you again one day! Best, Chad |

Jack,
I don't dare make any promises about conventions - the last time I did I really missed the boat, and a lot of people were unhappy about it! So, I may surprise you all, but I won't promise anything. By the way, if you are really ready then, God rest his soul, I know that Jerry would be thrilled to have you do that trick! Hope to see you soon... Best, PSC

Paul,
I know - the buffalo thing right? We were disappointed. But everybody understands, life happens- that's it- I don't get out much myself! I'm sure you heard what somebody (can't remember who said it, Dorian?) did to Gazzo as he was razzin' on you during the show? Just hilarious! Yes I'm sure Jerry would like it, I think I'm ready. . . we've got some discussion on technique to do however. . . -Jack |

Jack, you are talking about Kent Gunn who proved then and there that 20 years on a submarine will gives you big brass bawls.
