Dear Mr. Carpenter
Say you are in a situation where you have to audition for a job and you are only given a chance to do one effect, which one would you do?

Take care

It would have to be a quickie, I assume. Truth is, I work quick and I could get three quickies in there, I know it, but let's say just one.

Right now, I'm infatuated with a wonderful quickie by that genius Kevin Ho, a visual buttkicker called "Repaint". I have some work on it presentationally, that gives an entertaining reason for one little discrepancy in the routine.

If you don't have his book, "Smooth Operations," get it! I don't feel at liberty though to discuss anything in it, including this trick.

So your answer is "Repaint", with the Carpenter Twist. . .I just love it.
