I had once, a "Rainbow Deck/Kaleidoscope Cards" which was a trick where all the backs are different, and you find "card mates" (e.g. 9S and 9C, QH, QD) and then all the other cards turn out to be the same card (6H or something).

This was a small bridge sized, no bordered deck, that was rather low in quality, but the trick was very powerful.

I just recently saw "Bicycle Rainbow Deck" and I thought to myself "Hooray, finally a quality rainbow deck!"

I purchased said Bicycle Rainbow Deck, and was extremely disappointed to find out it is not the same trick, in fact it's not a trick at all. It is merely a deck with different backs. Perhaps useful as a switch for shock value....but certainly not as good as the original trick.

Here is the point of the post.
Is there anywhere I can find a quality version, of the Rainbow Deck trick?

Edddiestrickshop.com has both The Rainbow Deck ($7) and Kaleidoscope Cards ($10). I bought the former in one of their shops in Atlanta just a week ago.

Lennart Green's Stolen cards. This consists of cards some of which are casino cards, some are from promotional decks, and some are just from various "normal" decks.

I should add that I absolutely love the look and quality of the one I currently have, I just wish it was the "rainbow deck" routine.

Jordini,

I think you might be looking for Nick Trost's "Rainbow Miracle."

The rainbow deck is used for a different routine - its a color changing deck type routine. I know it form Frank Garcia's Super Subtle book, it was credited to Sen Crandall.

The name of the trick is ”Rainbow Connection”.

Bridge deck, 48 different backs and faces all the same. Two 9H with the same back and two 9C with the same back.

I got it from Dan Garrett many years ago but I am not sure he invented it. The principle is old and the instruction says nothing about that.

From the instruction: This trick is near perfect.
And I agree after hundreds of performances with it.

To Jordini,s question: No up to date deck found.

I was wondering when reading this post if they make this I wasnt a deck (Not a trick or effect) that is a rainbow bicycle deck but I want them all to be the standard rider back design so basically no diffrent back design just different colors for each back. I bought a rainbow deck thinking this is what it would be but there were different back designs. Thanks
Chris
Thanks,

Chris,

Just buy a bunch of different colored bicycle rider back decks and put your own together.
The idea behind a Rainbow deck is that there is a lot of variety in back designs.

"Stolen Deck" does sound like what you are looking for. It would be cost prohibitive to assemble your own. You would need to buy 52 decks of cards!

I purchased "Rainbow Connection" wholesale from an individual in South Florida who made them up. The routine is pretty much Nick Trost's, but Nick was unfortunately not credited in the instructions. I soon discontinued to sell the item, and I'm sure it is no longer available. These were made by the method already suggested... buying 52 decks of cards (bridge-sized 'picture' backs were available in bulk at a very reasonable price back then) and assembling the effect on a very large table. (:}D).
However, this was a wonderful routine, so easy to do that I could give away a deck to an important client and they would have a great trick to show to their friends that is near (but not quite) foolproof. Paul Gertner did the same thing with these decks.
The Rainbow Deck mentioned was released by Randy Wakeman. There are many variations of this routine, put out by many, notably Lennart Green and others.

Penguin sells a Rainbow deck made by Uday.
I used it to close my set recently in the Close up gallery at the Magic Castle. And it's only about $6.00!

I brought a Rainbow deck by Uday from MJMMagic, not sure if it is the same deck.

I found the card quality is not good. I found the card stock feel like cheap dollarstore deck and the picture backs are of poor quality pictures of stuffs.

The bottom line is - it will get the job done. However, if I'm going to buy it again, I'll probably buy Rainbow deck with US Playing Card backs with "bicycle finish".

I used the Uday deck 28 shows at the Castle & is still like new. The cards should look like crappy dime store cards you've collected.
I have a few of the Bicycle decks as well but use them for other purposes.

I have both kinds of effects, namely Lennart Green's Stolen Cards (which has an astonishing impact and is amazingly self-working) and the aforementioned Rainbow Deck, which I believe is produced by Magic Makers Inc.

The Frank Garcia routine is the one I use for this and it always gets great reactions. The different back designs and colours creates an eye-popping finale which adds to the impact of the routine when spread on a table. It's worth trying that one out. Trust me, kids and adults alike enjoy this effect!

If this is supposedly a deck made up of very special cards that you decided to collect them, where is the motivation in using crappy looking cards? Who would want to collect crappy dime store cards?

A magic shop in tampa (I think it's the only one in tampa) I remember it is behind a gas station next to a highway. They sell rainbow decks for 12 dollars or something like that. I was going to buy it but it was 12 dollars and I figured out you could only use the same cards.
