Yeah it seems like a pretty cool trick. At least when I saw it done!

This is a great trick, too bad so many people know about it. Wish it could be a top secret effect. Anyway, this effect is sooo simple, I performed it the first day I got it.

It would be nice if someone put out an ESP symbol version of this effect.

I recently used pyro as my closer, and it slayed the crowd(about 25 people). I had people touching my "blisters" and they were dumbfounded. One lady even brought me a small cup of ice to stick my fingers in! I dressed up the presentation by using a large red candle(instead of a lighter) to add to the 'atmosphere.' A key to making this trick effective is solid presentation. Grimace like you really are burning your fingers, and people will bring you a cup of ice too!

One of my favorite sneaky things to do is to recreate the blister prior to walking among the crowd, about half an hour after doing the effect for them. When they ask how the blister is healing, I show them the blister is still there, but its getting better. I'll often walk away from the crowd following the effect (heading to another location), and be slowly shaking my hand by my side, as if to cool off the blister. Brian |

We had thought about doing the ESP symbols a while back. Even Greg Wilson told us it would be a great idea. As of now there are a few ideas in mind. Perhaps, Brent will release something soon. Warmly, Brandon Cross |

Would it be possible to cross-manufacture it and get something like a Pen Through Pyro Perceptions?

None of the spectators were actors. If it was a set up the lighting (second reaction) wouldn't have been so bad. Real spectators, real illusionist (Brandon Cross). The lighting also made it next to impossible to show a close up of the blisters (even in good light it wasn't very visible). The video was used to show reactions, real reactions which is what they are. I know, because I created Pyro Perception and shot the video.
and thank you for your support, Brent |

I got pyro perception about 2 years ago its a nice effect and the gimmick will last a lifetime or 2 but I found that the indent didn't quite do it for me so I had a friend that works at a foundry to make my own version of it so instead of the marks being indented in I had them made where they protrude outwards Ive found that this makes a far better marking on the finger tips.It was also made 1/4 smaller and a better design on the outside to aid with the finding part.
