Here’s my review of the Tabman Convertatable – a beautiful, versatile table that, amazingly, can be configured either for stand-up or sit-down performing. This means you only need one table, no matter what situation you’ll be in.
You can see pictures and get details here: http://tabmantables.com/convertatable.html My table is handmade of cherry wood, with walnut inlay, by Ray Witkowski, who now owns Tabman Tables. I also got a nice black carrying bag made by his wife, Debora. Both of them are friendly, accommodating, and great to deal with. Ray’s woodwork is flawless. Every part of the table is perfectly fitted (top, legs, lower café shelf, etc.) – and finished expertly, with a nice glow to the wood. For the top surface I chose green Mali cloth – the durable kind that goes on casino and game tables. It looks especially good with silver coins, red Bicycle cards, cups and balls, etc. Before I ordered, Ray sent me samples of the various woods and finishes he offers. He made the table to the exact height I wanted (I’m tall), and provided exemplary customer service at every stage. The table is easily configured for stand-up. It rests atop a folding stand that locks in, so you can pick up the table by the top and move it. The design and execution are amazing -- even the "screw" mechanism that adjusts the legs is crafted of wood by hand. The sit-down conversion takes about two minutes -- you just pop off the tabletop and easily bolt on the legs at the four corners. The Tabman Convertatable is priced at $750, including shipping. On seeing it, my “magic wife” guessed that it probably cost $2,500, the table was so beautiful and so obviously crafted entirely by hand. This is a table to last a lifetime. Because of its beauty and noticeable quality, it will certainly elevate my magic (and me) in the eyes of any audience. It’s a thrill to own such a beautiful magic table. You can contact Ray and Debora through their website (above). The usual disclaimers apply: I don’t personally know the Witkowskis, and I paid full price for my table – happily -- in fact, it’s an incredible bargain for such quality and craftsmanship. That looks beautiful. I hope you take some nice sharp pix to really show us the details. Do they also make a servante for it?
I want one of their "Sit-Down" tables really badly. Maybe in the coming Fall I will fulfill that dream. dsalley13 |

'Things' in magic can be so pricey, due for the most part to it's small market base, it's nice to see such a great bargain. Table lookes great. I hope you enjoy it for years.

Thanks guys. Credit goes to Scott Miller since he ordered the first one a while back. This was designed for him. The drawer can be used as a servante and again thanks to Scott Miller we will be making a canvas servante for these as well. Scott ordered one a while back and we've been working on it off and on for a while. As soon as Debora gets caught up, she'll finish it and get it out to him.

I still love AND USE the Erdnase Train Table that Tabby made for me many moons ago. It's still "like new."
