Hi Everyone,
I'm considering purchasing the Zimmerman Master Prediction for an upcoming project and I was wondering if you could compare/contrast the Malloy and Wellington models (regular, not clear-vue). I know both are excellent and its a winning situation no matter which is purchased, but is there a reason you've purchased one model vs. the other? Thanks very much! |

I just picked up my Master Prediction last friday from Carol at Malloy Modern Magic! Let me tell you first how GREAT they were to work with! They are right on top of things and their craftsmanship is of the utmost quality. Now to answer your question... I researched both models for months and heard a lot about the two systems here in the Café... one guy brought up a couple good points and ended my research... I decided to go Malloy... with the solid chest your giving your audience that sense of wonder what's inside what's this time capsule look like what will he pull out of there. with the the clear-vue the audience does see the "time capsule" the whole time but is it worth the extra $1,000 ? that's if finances are of any concern. I like them both but decided that that extra $1,000 I'd put toward another part of the show and the silver system Malloy produces looks so beautiful and solid metal like a strong box no one could open without unlocking... It looks like it can't be penetrated... There's also probably a reason that the two current headliners in vegas use the Silver Malloy Version in their shows just a thought! Trust me I'm not saying be a copy cat and by all means isn't what I've done... the silver fit the style of my show! I'm just saying there's a reason behind them using that style it looks SOLID!
The system as a whole is just amazing and your right you can't go wrong! The builders we work with are so important and I haven't worked with Wellington I know they're probably awesome... But now that I've worked with Malloy I can say that I know their service is top notch... And I've already begun to come up with custom projects I wish to work with them on! Maybe you've already worked with them and you already know this haha!!! Enjoy have fun I'm excited for you! Best, Christian |

I used to have a Wellington, I loved it. Packs smaller too.

There have been rumors that it packs in 2 cases. it in fact only packs in one small ATA about 3 feet long at most.

I like the way the table legs and the casters and all are made on the Wellington one... It seems to be a little more custom made.. The other one seems to be more of a normal magic table base...
I could be wrong, but the Wellington version really seems over the top on the custom leg work.. YOu can check it out on the web site.. I have a few friends that have these and the Clear version has some angle problems if you have a balcony. But with out balconys it ROCKS>> I have a friend that does crusies and he is using the clear version... He is talking about having the wooden box version made for these type of gigs.. Thanks Taylor

Wellington's is Beautiful. I don't have one, but Bill's shown it to me. The table base is a really nice folding design, and his craftsmanship is amazing like it is with all of his work.

I have a question that does not appear on either site.
Does it take a 2nd person (off stage, etc.) or is it self contained?
Be remembered for performing what looks like MAGIC, not skill.

To perform it just as described, it is a 2-person effect. You can work it solo with minor restructuring but its not quite as strong. Have done it solo and while it got a good reaction, I prefer the "normal" way to do it.

Seems to me, from people's opinions and such, that Malloy's box does the trick perfectly.
Anyone know what DC uses for his lottery prediction? I thought it was Malloy's at first glance.

Hi,
I have a few questions to make. I am new at illusionist's world and so I need your help. I want to buy the MPS. Could someone tell me how the MPS works? Is something like David Copperfield uses in his shows? Is that possible someone from the audience to reveal the secret?I have already seen the Wellington's MPS and Clear-Vue MPS. Which of these is better? I have seen also the MPS at 450,00$ and clear-vue MPS at 1.650,00$ in http://www.52magic.com. Is that any scam because the price is extremely low? Thank You in Advance |

Copperfields stuff is custom made and designed by his team.
You won't get what David has with Wellington or Malloy when it come to being what he has... Put you can Do similar effects with these units... Either are great choices, for they are both great builders. The Cheap stuff, stay away from it.. You get what you pay for and they are not the real deal.. And you can't come on The Café with one post and get the secrets to MAGIC..... Sorry.. Taylor
