I would consider most of those full-blown illusions. To me, something like Kovari's Passing Water would be a good illusionette.

I know they are not really small like Kovari's Passing Water or montecristo sack escape , or Gipsy rope but any way are small enough for a car, so ....

The knock-off versions break down smaller for easy transport!
Sorry. Not trying to start a flame war or anything, but I just couldn't resist making an innocent little joke.

I drive a *@$^(!&$ land yacht and I doubt that I could get any origami in it, in road cases.

Roof Racks, Pete!?
I try to carry my props in the car so that they are unseen. If they don't fit in the trunk, they don't go in the show! Hell, I hate making a second trip to the car for 'load out' Did you ever hear the story of how Marvyn Roy buys a car? Well, every few years he'd trade in his car for a newer model, on the theory that sooner or later it would start to develop problems. So at regular intervals, he'd just go get a new one. Ok, so he goes to the dealer, points out the car he wants and the salesman, (being a good salesman) lifts the hood and tries to show Marvyn the engine. Marvyn (who knows little about cars ) says, " The hell with the engine...show me the trunk!" It's true ...Marvyn told me the story himself! Sorry to hijack the thread, but I saw Marvyn at the Castle two weeks ago for Carol's Memorial and he looks fantastic. Bless him.

NO ARGUMENT HERE ALL THE TIME IS LIKE THIS THE SAME STORY ,nobody can share really comments or ideas etc.etc. THE STRANGE TINK IS: WHY ALL THE TIMES THIS KIND OF STUPIDS COMPLAINS AND STUPID GOSSIPS OUT OF REAL SHOWBIZ STARTS FROM KIDS OR NOT PROFESSIONAL MAGICIAN or may be from a close up seller , any way peoples OUT OF REAL SHOWBIZ? WHY THE COMPLAINS DON'T STARTS FROM REAL PROFESSIONAL ILLUSIONISTS OR FROM A REAL FAMOUS ILLUSIONS BUILDERS OR INVENTORS ! I NEVER SEEN IN MY LIFE A REAL WAR or serious fight FROM A PROFESSINAL BUILDERS OR INVENTORSjust FOR A STUPID KNOCK OFF ( this because there are MANY REASONS, AND BELIVE ME I TALK FREQUENTLY WHIT BUILDERS AND INVENTORS), OF COURSE KNOCK OFF IS NOT GOOD at All AND NOT ETHICS BUT AL THE TIME THE SAME STORY here IT'S BOOOORING ESPECIALLY FROM HOBBY MAGICIANS! Gee, Fabrice... Give it a REST! All I was asking is whether you had a CAR large enough to load an Origami into. I wasn't accusing anyone of anything.
I have just never considered such items as as Origami, Twister, etc. "illusionettes".

I'm afraid his rant was probably touched off by my joke (despite the fact that I tried to preempt that kind of response by clearly stating it was a joke and not an accusation).

Well,
what do you like?wich mini illusions you prefer? |

I tend to agree that illusions such as Origami are what I consider "full sized." As far as "illusionettes" are concerned, mine are geared mostly toward younger audiences: Chair Suspension, Flying Carpet, ABC Gumball Recombobulator, Balloon to Bunny, Shrinking & Growing Head (to name a few of my favorites).
But I do use some "torture" illusionettes for older audiences as well: Dagger Head Chest, Arrowhead, French Arm Chopper, Disecto Arm Chopper, Spikes Through Arm, Head Twister, etc.
