When did you first start out in this amazing art of escape magic. And what would you recommend a beginner to start with. I might want to try and put a little escapiness ;-) into my little act I might do in the future.

You know how kids will dial a combination lock right up to the last number, then when the bell rings all they have to do is turn the dial a quarter turn and the lock opens?
I found a lock, while I was walking home and handed it to my father, He turned the dial and we were both surprised that it opened. At that moment I said to myself "Myself I said" If he can do it... I can do it. Coincidentally I was reading about Houdini and that, sir, was my motivation to learn about locksmithing and escapes. As far as magic, My father was a song & dance man and I used to sit in the audience and watch magicians from an early age. He was an MC too. There were a few magicians in the area that I regularly saw, Harry Albacker, Tony Polito, Zoran and Del Ray who used to drive to shows with my dad so he would come over and show me all his stuff - not only that, sometimes he would take it apart and repair it on my kitchen table. So while a lot of people know me as an escape artist, I like performing with cards, coins, balls and illusions too. Sorry, I got off the subject. Start with an InAgainOutAgain type escape, thumb cuffs or a thumb tie. Get 33 rope ties book (grant) and start reading the escape section here. Some members are the best in the world.
