Hank Lee newsletter - an announcement about a Paul Harris effect which reads just like Mr Cameron's elusive classic. No doubt this will be sold as cute little piece of magic, but this is one of the most exciting possibilities of the year.
I await with hugely baited breath. If anyone has more info please do share! Steve

Hmm, it's not released in the UK until February but there does seem to have been a lot of hype over it.

I hope the reality exceeds my expectations. A phrase in the description makes me wonder. It just might have great potential.

Is there a blinkin' video demo of this effect already?!?!?

"His entire clay body VISIBLY TURNS AND LURCHES FORWARD with each dramatic step."
This is what worries me and is perhaps a clue to the "gimmick."

Surely a pre order on this, with the limited information currently out there, is an impressive act of faith.
Looking forward to the demo though. Bring it on ASAP |

Another worry: Every idiot with a smattering of knowledge and experience in magic will be performing this badly and ruin it completely.

Not sure why this ****es me off....but it does
Without a video, putting your money down on this is ridiculous. What does it take to put a short teaser video together? Nothing..... Certainly Mr. Harris and company have ironed out the kinks. Enough so that they feel ok asking us for our $300. Little Man appears to work on new technology. There appears to be nothing that we as buyers can refer to. All the more reason to put up a demo Here's a tip for Little Man producers: get a crappy video camera, mount it on a tripod, and hit record. |

Tony, you are right. I would love to see this as something really good, but I would hesitate to plunk down $300+ without knowing more (even if I could afford it). Ohhh, but it is tempting!

Wait for the video. I have a feeling an old commercial jingle will pop into mind. "Weebles wobble but they don't fall down."

I so wish I was making the video for this...just to explore the various themes. I even purchased some small windup toys and encased them carefully in soft clay to replicate the visual effect on video but I could NOT devise a way to do it without "switches, palming, steals, etc."...or the tiny wind-up whrrrrr sound from tiny gears.
I am eager to see the video. Movement is tricky. Our human eyes associate movement and categorize it very fast. I just need to see him take a single step before declaring this of having magical potential. |

Fun to think about the possible methods. I am caught up in the process too
Bill and Tony, a a PM is on its way with several ideas. Sadly, for now, most seem pretty impractical. Let's hope Eddie G does get to do a vid clip. Kotah |
