Greetings Ted,

I read the book "Milo & Roger" about the classic comedy magic team of Arthur Brandon and Roger Coker, published by (and still available from) Hermetic Press. I can't remember reading any other book, magic or otherwise, that has caused me to laugh out loud so many times. The phrase "Five Things in a Pan" just cracks me up. And there's a certain quote about what uptight people need that sometimes comes to mind.

I think the book is worthy of being a Book of the Month Club selection for the public (it doesn't reveal any secrets), but sadly it hasn't even gotten that much attention from magicians.

In the acknowledgments, Stephen Minch thanks you for helping to make the book possible, and I want to thank you too!

Do you have any additional Milo & Roger stories you'd like to share, or can you tell us more about their act, which is not given much detail in the book?

Dear Craig,
It is good to know, that Milo & Roger aren`t forgotten. There are many stories, I could tell, which are not in the book and I could tell a lot about their act as well. As soon as I can I`ll write up the outline of their act, and this is very difficult, because all the sight-gags are not easy to describe. I`ll check my video tapes and possibly we can use some of the material I have for a video or DVD.

Everytime we talk about the two comedy-magicians I have tears in my eyes.

As I promised, I will do something in due time to write the things up, I can remember about the great couple Milo & Roger.

DAN:
This book is wonderful, it makes you laugh and cry nearly at the same time. Milo´s writings on the funerals of his partner and friend for more than 47 years, Roger, is heartbreaking.

Milo died shortly before the book hit the market, so he never saw it, and that, friends, makes me very unhappy too.
