Lets try and keep this on the one thread to avoid confusion.

As that thread is discussing the trick itself and the original release one year ago, this thread is discussing the re-release of the product. I see no confusion.

Revelation, if you took the time and actually read the other thread you would realise that Morgan quit magic and never released Molten. I have provided the link with important information that should be read before purchasing. Thankyou.

Will this be a DVD or booklet with the gimmick? Is there like an order page for it that I don't know about?

Hey Mark,
When you purchase MOLTEN you will receive an ebook and the gimmicks. Pre Orders will start on my website tonight or tomorrow. I wasn't going to do a Pre Order, but I'm making all of the MOLTEN gimmicks myself. The Pre Order will help ensure that everyone that orders, gets their package shipped out next Thursday.
Thanks,
Morgan
BTW Mark don't I owe you one from Itricks?

Hey Paisa,
You borrow a glass bottle and pour out any remaining liquid that's inside the bottle. Then, without any unnatural movement, you begin altering the physical properties of the bottle by simply rubbing it. Then, as if the bottle was liquid, you begin drastically sculpting the bottle, leaving it permanently distorted!!
There are VERY few effects I've performed over the past decade that have garnered stronger reactions than Liquid Metal. However, MOLTEN has generated the most outrageous spectator responses I’ve ever witnessed. I believe the audience perceives MOLTEN to be so "impossible", so "clean" that the only possible, rational explanation is, “It has to be real magic!" By far, this is my favorite offering released to the magic community.
Here is a link to the demo video if you have not seen it....

Does the spectator get to keep their bottle at the end of the effect?

Morgan, I'm not fishing for secrets here...can you compare this to Refraction...just looking at its potential for impromptu or is it about the same prep time as Refraction...thanks.

I've been getting a lot of PM's asking if you can give the bottle away at the end of the routine. I thought it would be a good idea to post the info here as well.
After you buy Molten, you will have the option to purchase additional replacement gimmicks. So yes, you can give the bottle to the spectator as a souvenir. That being said....
If I'm working in a bar, club, or restaurant...I tell the audience, "I'm sorry, but management does not allow alcoholic beverages or containers to leave the building." This will help you from going through your replacement bottles as fast, and you can save them for when you NEED them.
Thanks,
Morgan

That "leaving the building line" won't work in Las Vegas or New Orleans ha ha.

Hey,
I read reviews quite often, but rarely post my own. This time around I felt the need because Morgan has put out such a killer routine. When selecting new things to add to my repertoire, a few factors come to mind. At the top of that list is the impact it will have on an audience, and what they will remember and tell their friends. We've all performed for people at one point and had them tell us about the amazing trick they saw "some other guy do a few years back". THIS is that trick that they will be talking about a few years from now when they see another magician and talk about YOU.
Bending spoons is fantastic, as is bending keys. However the element of surprise is somewhat diminished because such a high percentage of modern audiences have heard of it and therefore know what to expect. I'm not suggesting that makes it less amazing, simply that they are conditioned to know what's about to happen. With Molten, the result is so unexpected that not only are they amazed and blown away, but also surprised to their core. Not to be overly vulgar, but it leads to a moment where "WTF!" is the only response. A second factor is, of course, practicality. The routine does not involve too much pocket space, nor is it something I would only reserve for "once in a blue moon". This could truly be a workhorse routine. Your performance environment will dictate how appropriate it is to obtain a bottle from a spectator or from the bar or a trash can.
As for the production value, Morgan goes into painstaking detail to insure that every move is clearly explained. Beyond just the actions, he goes into the timing, psychology, and the subtle nuances you can only pick up after doing the routine hundreds of times for real audiences. I'm impressed with the thinking that went into this and think that Molten is going to be a reputation maker for many performers.

They didn't ship till today, how did you get it so fast! There has been a lot of controversy around this product and this makes me wonder if you are just in the know or a friend.

It's Oz Pearlman who works with Penguin. Morgan and him are friends but I trust Oz's opinion. I don't think he would endorse a product just because he was friends with the creator. Oz seems to be a very straight-up guy.

Listen to the James Dimmare interview to find out about the controversy!
interesting how the magic world is so easy to forget when people do things that are not ethical!

There are two sides to every story. I've always given credit where credit is due. I have done nothing unethical. I created EVERY aspect of the method used in Molten on my own!
