Hey Cameron!

Do you have favourite plots that you like to tackle, or one that constantly eludes a definitive personal solution?

Are there plots that the magic community love in general that you just don't get?

Thanks xD

Liam.

Liam,

Hi, man! Good question...

I have a small packet Invisible Palm routine that is almost there but I just can't quite get it to work... Been working on it for over two years.

Plots I don't get...

The Inversion plot is something that hasn't really captured my imagination. Not sure why.

I was never really a fan of Lie Detector tricks until I read Nick Trosts Automatic Lie Speller. I then went back and studied other Lie Detector tricks that I had previously only glanced over. Really like the plot now! In fact, I've got a version of my own!

Magic Squares aren't something that I love. I appreciate the idea and I get that it's amazing but they can be a bit boring. I might come around to them, though.

The "Which hand is it in?" plot. Just seems to be more of a stunt than anything magical. I know it can have a big impact but it's not my cup of tea. I personally don't care to perform stuff that can be or is explained by using pseudo-psychology.

I'm sure there are others but overall I don't have a problem with most plots. I'm a pretty open minded guy.

Richard Kaufman's original routine in Card Magic (The World's Fastest Reverse) might change your mind about the plot.

Hi Cameron. I just ordered at a "Moment's Notice." Look forward to learning!

At a very basic level, how many card plots are there? Which one(s) do spectators find most entertaining? (The one where the magician looks good and the spectator looks bad... in the end... seems to get very tiring)

thanks Cameron!

Loads of plots and variations of plots. Too many to count.

I don't like tricks where the spectator looks bad at the end. It IS tiring for a lay audience.
