I have been lucky enough to spend some time with Pete at Dean Dill's and at the Magic Castle.

I have to say he stands out as one of the nicest, most original, inventive, and talented magicians I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

Argh, I'm late. I've been very sick with a sinus infection that spread to my lungs. I've been sleeping during the night and most of the day.

Well, that's my excuse, (but it's true).

You're one of my favorite people here. Your posts have made me change how I present some routines. And, you're so unassuming, when you clearly know so much.

I was happy that Genii Magazine had an article about you. I got a partial image of who you are.

Sorry about the flood in your basement. My Dad was a librarian and my Mom was a teacher, so I really value books. I was upset for you when I read what happened to your magic books.

Humans make life so interesting. Do you know that in a universe so full of wonders, they have managed to create boredom. Quite astonishing.

Pete -

Just a couple of words to welcome you as a special guest of honor.

I have known Pete for way more years than either of us would admit and we have shared many memories from our days together working on IBM conventions and the Desert Magic Seminar and continuing now with the World Magic Seminar.

I don't think I have ever meet a kinder person in magic. I don't recall Pete ever really saying a bad thing about about another magician. He always tries to look to the positive in magic if at all possible. Pete's knowledge of magic and magicians is truly phenomenal. I consider myself very fortunate to have been able to know him and work with him over the years. Becki and I are very proud to consider he and Linda as dear friends and I am very glad to see Pete in the spotlight here.

You are one of the true treasures of magic.

Bill

You aren't too bad a guy yourself. Especially 'cuz you have a Dalmation.

Folks, Bill Wells, IMHO, is the greatest organizer of conventions EVER. He and his Wife Becki host the Teen Challenge at the World Magic Seminar and treat each and every one of the kids like Family.
