Pete, I want to thank you for your mention of John Booth. I had not known of him and his books. After reading your description of Marvels of Mystery, I purchased a copy from a used book service. It arrived last night. I stayed up late reading it.
There is a lot of good material in this book and the style is entertaining. Thanks for the tip!

Yes, Marvels of Mystery is almost all you need to put a commercial stand up act together.
