Hi all.
I don't really post in this section - I read the Café more for the sideshow and Escape sections. I am a semi pro in the UK and have not been on here since August (well up to last week that is). I have not been on line for a while due to not aving internet after moving. then when we got internet access we had other things on our minds. I don't want to re-type the whole story - as it will end in tears (again!) In fact it will anyway! If you would please hold Carrie (My wonderful wife) and I in your preayers we would be greatful. Hi dave,
I know that I do not know you however I can relate only on a small scale as one of my best freinds went through this a few years ago. I read your story and was moved to pray for you and your family and below I hope are some words of confort and joy for you during this time of great saddness that I know god will use for his glory. Lord please hug dave a little tighter today and as long as he needs it, strengthen him (isaiah 40:31)and reveal your plan to him and his family. amen 2 Cor. 1:3--4 TLB “What a wonderful God we have--he is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the source of every mercy, and the one who so wonderfully comforts and strengthens us in our hardships and trials. And why does he do this? So that when others are troubled, needing our sympathy and encouragement, we can pass on to them this same help and comfort God has given us.” "I have hope for you.” You can say those words. You are a flood survivor. By God's grace you have found your way to dry land. You know what it's like to see the waters subside. And since you do, since you passed through a flood and lived to tell about it, you are qualified to give hope to someone else.” –Max Lacado “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” Romans 15:13. sam

I don't know what you are going through, but I can only imagine that it is an extremely painful experience for both you and Carrie to loose a child so early in life.
Your anguish brings tears of sorrow to my eyes, but obviously nothing compared to what you both are going through. My wife and I will pray for you, Carrie, and the children. Be confident in knowing that Adam is in the arms of our Lord. No suffering, no pain, no birth defects. Just a perfect little boy who loves his mom and dad very much. May God be with you and your family.

Dave,
There are no words - none at all but what I can say is that you and your family are not alone. We had the same outcome 2 years ago. I can tell you that Baby Adam is very much a part of your families story. Your other children will ask many questions - not to be mean, they are sadden by this also and even in their actions (at times maybe superficial and flighty) is their way of dealing. People will say things that are stupid - you gotta just forgive them. They don't know what to say and have no idea the pain they just caused. As a father I can tell you that you won't get over it but you do get use to it. In time the pain will loose its sharpness. You and your family will be included in a special prayer tonight. I leave you with something that comforted me in the middle of this living nightmere. I was reminded about King David (not knowing where you are at with your spirtual life, I'll just say that it is the same David that killed Golith) When King David's son went with the Lord he was told that one day he will meet him and be with him in heaven. That is a thought that flows thru my mind many times a day every day. Remember you didn't loose Baby Adam, you know where he is. He is in Heaven and one day you will be with him. And when the darkness of life is ripping you apart, God is with you - even though he may feel like a million miles away and fading fast, he is closer than you think, weeping with you. Take care. |
