To pay $60 over the $40 Danny Tong Malini Bag, Lynetta Welch better have a good logo so the audience can see I paid top dollar for a little black bag.
I have seen and handled a Lynetta Welch Malini. I think it is make to short and small for the effect. She also makes it out of a silk material and the original states it must be made out of Crepe Material to work properly. |

I ment like, the egg easily drops into position, doesn't get stuck, you don't have to shake or wiggle the bad for "it" to happen that type of stuff, I am quite aware I will have to put the time in to get it right, as all magic effects, and I am not looking for something that is self working like the one you listed. that's what I ment, sorry for the confusion, and thanks for the advice. I've worn out 2 of Hobson's egg bag. The material came apart leaving small holes in the black material.
I'm now using Mikame bag, the only peoblem---it's not as wide as the Hobson's bag. I might have a look at Frank's bag. TrickyRicky |

Elimagic,
If you want the workshop plans to make a Malini Egg Bag, PM me and I will send them to you. You will need to find a very good seamstress to cut and assemble the bag, plus they must be able to stitch in a straight line black thread on black material. |

If you go on the "big auction" site, and search malini egg bag you find many on there from $12 and up.

Just to clarify, my egg bags are made out of silk crepe. That is the fabric that both Malini and Charlie Miller were referring to and it was approved by Johnny Thompson. Polyester crepe did not even exist during Malini's time. As for the size, since I hand-make each bag, I can customize a bag to whatever size anyone needs.

Yes, cotton, wool and silk crepe all existed during Malini's time. However, from what I have been told, they were referring to silk crepe. I know that Charlie Miller was, because my bag is patterned off of one of his old bags. Johnny gave it to me to duplicate and it was definitely silk crepe.
Pete, I missed you guys too. I was sick and had to avoid the smoke in the casino. I hope to be back next year. |

I use Lynetta's bag, in burgundy color. In my routine, it is important that the inside and outside be the same color, so I can do a fake motion of turning it inside out.

Pete, there was some awful flu that started and lived in my lower respiratory system for over two weeks. I was just getting over it during WMS, but I was afraid to expose myself to a smoke and germ infested casino. Sorry that you got sick. I know how the dry air in Vegas can affect people. It just seems to open people up to every germ that's floating around and you know we have a lot of germs here:) I hope you feel better soon.
Thanks for your kind words regarding my egg bag. |
