The secret of being a great magician applies to children's entertainment but it also applies to every other branch of magic too. The trick is of no importance. It only comes along for the ride. You have to sell YOU! Yes. YOU are the magic, not your tricks. If you get applause because of the tricks then it is the inventor of the trick that deserves the applause. However if you sell YOU then it is you who deserves the kudos.

A trick is only a peg that you hang your personality on. YOU are the show!

But when I inflated 640 balloons and let them run around and beat each other, they had a blast!
