Hi All.
I'm in Vegas right and would like to see some close-up magic. Can anyone recommend some close-up magic right now in Vegas? Thanks, Daniel |

Not really close up but Mac King is the Bomb...
One time, when I was young, I botched a sleight so bad, Vernon, Marlo & Miller rolled over in their graves. But I didn't see Elmsley, probably because he was behind the others.

One of the coolest magicians on earth has a regular gig at a swanky tat-bar.
Check out Paul Vigil at King Ink KG |

I live in the Vegas area. The suggestions above are about it for close up in Vegas. I haven't been in quite sometime but I know Alan Ackerman is often at Darwins meetings. He is very worth seeing and talking to if he is there.
Sadly the old close up magic days of Vegas have been gone for quite a few years now. Jimmy Grippo, Johnny Paul, Michael Skinner are gone. The Desert Inn where Daniel Cros tended bar and performed close up magic. Is long gone too. Outside of Mac King and Paul V. You won't find much in the way of close up magic. Denny's shop is a good place to visit You never know who you will run into while there either. |

Totally agree with Kent. Paul Vigil is a close-up killer and he is currently performing Fridays and Saturdays on the Las Vegas strip in the Mirage at King Ink. Check him out!!!

So, RS1963....what are you Mac King's PR guy or what? Mac is good...no one disputes that. He's funny and entertaining as well offers up a really good show...but Magic Daniel was asking for referrals for CLOSE-UP magic. WTH are you talking about Dacri's show won't be "true close up magic"? It's as close up as you can get and while Mac's show is indeed great....there's no close up effects in his stage show.

As this thread is almost 6 years old, wanted to see what the scene is like for close-up these days. I'll be there next month during the week. Thanks in advance. Is Denny's still the best brick and mortar to check out as well?
