After having read up on hypnosis extensively over the past few months, I chose to try it out for the first time last night while at a friend's house.
I was incredibly anxious, and it didn't help that he wasn't getting into it - when I told him to relax his body, he burst out laughing and remarked that I sounded like a pedophile. I started with the 'magnetic fingers' test. Initially, not much happened. However, as my suggestions intensified, the fingers began to draw nearer one another. He was trying to actively fight it and every time they moved slightly closer, he'd separate them once more - all the while giggling at the strange force he 'felt'. Slowly, though, they inched together and eventually touched, when I directed him to close his eyes and relax his head. I followed with the 'magnetic hands' test, performed with his eyes closed. It took around half a minute for the hands to draw together. I then attempted the 'arm raise' induction, which failed, so I moved onto the 'eye fixation' induction; having him focus on a spot on his palm, while moving his hand slowly closer to his eyes. The first suggestion I gave was that his hand, upon reaching his face, was stuck there. At this stage I was still unsure whether he was actually in trance or not, so I experienced the biggest rush of euphoria witnessing my friend forcibly trying to remove his hand, but finding himself unable to do so. I proceeded to deepen the trance. The suggestions that followed were mainly physiological - that his arm would raise and become suspended, that he couldn't move his thumb, etc. As it was my first time, I was a little hesitant to give any bizarre suggestions (such as him forgetting his name or me becoming invisible). I spent a lot of time on the wake-up process and ensured he was fine. I also suggested that in the future, when I touched his shoulder and said 'Sleep', that he would return to this deeply relaxed state. It will be interesting to see if this suggestion facilitates the process next time. This experience was incredibly inspiring, and has boosted my confidence enormously. I can't wait to try this on other subjects! |

Well done for persisting through his initial attempt to maintain control. You eventually got him focussed and achieved more than you might imagine for a first attempt.
So long as you do not create a challenge situation next time and maintain his trust you will find he continues to be an agreeable subject. Well done. Anthony

Very good. Sounds like my first go at hypnosis. But when I first did it I just started to make up inductions. I made so that he would fall in trace everytime he saw the ace of spades. Which made blackjack a little bit more interesting. Also everytime I played the song 'can you feel it' he would fall in trace. Which is good as the song is asking the person if he can feel the trace coming, the usally responds yes

Thanks for the praise everyone!
Anthony/anyone else, Based on your experience, will my suggestion that he will 'sleep' when I touch his shoulder facilitate the induction process next time? Also, do you have any suggestions for material with some more interesting post-hypnotic suggestions? Cheers! |

I did reverse it straight away and test it, lol. That would be evil if I didn't . I do not what to be held responsible for drowning anyone or making them crash whiled driving because of my suggestions. Its probs a myth tbh
I'll recommend trying it if you feel confident in your patter and suggestions. Based on your experience, will my suggestion that he will 'sleep' when I touch his shoulder facilitate the induction process next time? As long as he believe it will work, it will. I simply have to stare at one of my friends to make them fall into trace. I never suggested that but he believes that hypnosis is all in the eyes. So as long as I give him a stare with the intent to hypnosis him, he will fall into trace. Also, do you have any suggestions for material with some more interesting post-hypnotic suggestions? just try anything you can think of, my favourites are making objects weigh tons, making them feel so fantastic that they start laughing uncontrollably and start dancing and making drinks taste and smell like sour milk |
