I have just watched the "Art of Card Manipulation" from Jeff McBride and I was amazed at the cut he performed called, the
"Paul Dralin cut". This is a great looking cut, which I am having trouble with. I have been practicing this cut for a couple of weeks, but don't seem to be progressing. I have tried using rubber bands to help, but I can't seem to get my fingers to move the right way because the cut is a very unnatural one. Any tips and pointers would be greatly appreciated.......... thanks DADE.

Stretch your fingers...Do a hand warmup, this helps a lot when doing manipulations. I learnt this from a veteran piano player.

That is a great one handed cut, I can do it in both hands but not well yet, still practising though.
To learn the cut, just keep practising till your hands bleed, its the only way really, its quite a hard cut, the packets want to get unsquared all the time. I'd like to see Paul draylin do it.

Don't look at your hand when you practice it.

Practice it slowly to get the motion down, and if you don't think to hard about it your fingers will learn how to move.
Stick to the classics,
