So I'm doing a show tomorrow at my brothers' cub scout meeting.
I came to realize that he'll probably spoil the tricks for everyone by telling them how thye are done. so, I was wondering if there were any good magical pranks out there that would set him in his place if the need for one arises. |

Since he a;ready knows your stuff, wouldn't it be more productive to make him part of the act? Give hime a reason to want to *not* tell people.

Do you have anything new that you can perform? One that he doesn't know?

"Smoke and Fire" comes to mind.

Hi
How about the old one where you have the spectator try to drop a coin that is stuck to his forehead without using his hands, into a funnel that is tucked in the front of his pants. You demonstrate what you want him to do by sticking the coin to your forehead ,and by wiggling your forehead , the coin drops into the funnel. Now have him place the funnel into his pants. As you stick the coin to his forehead, you remove it but to him, it will still feel like its stuck to his skin. While he is looking up trying to get the coin that isn't there to fall into the funnel, you pour water into the funnel. You can have a glass or a pitcher full of water on your table. Warning he may punch you in the face!I did this to a kid in the neighbor hood when I was a kid. He did want to punch me but he didn't.We are to this day best of friends.

Hi
This one is easier. You place a saucer full of water on the table. Now you float a piece of hair on the water. You tell the spectator to watch closely as you touch the hair with a lit match. Make sure he is close by telling him to get closer as you pretend to touch the lit match to the hair. Once he is close enough you slap the water in the saucer with your hand. He will get a face full of water. Warning he may want to punch you in the face!

I agree with cyberquat. It's more productive to have him see the worth of keeping the secret. That way he also won't reveal any effects in the future.

Tell him you've discovered something better than hypnosis. You're going to completely immobilize him with nothing but a glass of water.
You have him put his index (chopsticks/pointer) fingers on the edge of the table about an inch apart. Have him repeat the mystical chant "Owah Tayfoo Lyam" over and over. As he speaks these magical words, you rest a full glass of water balanced carefully on top of his fingers. Have him speak faster and faster, until it dawns on him that the "magic" syllables sound very much like "Oh, what a fool I am!" Then you walk away, leaving the glass in place on top his fingers. He won't be able to hit you. (...at least until he figures out how to remove the glass...)
...what if I could read your mind?
