Just watched the Chop Extra download. Lot's of great ideas to use (although I am still practicing doing the basic routine). The Extra download is about 35 minutes long.

Received and downloaded Chop Extra. Great stuff. However, Craig mentioned in his post dated May 12th there was going to be a section pertaining to the "Maintainence and Repair of the Gimmick". Perhaps I just missed it. Has anyone else found it?

There's no section about the "Maintaining and repairing of the gimmick". From reading the past few pages, I would assume one would be able to maintain it by clamping onto the black part of the gimmick to pull it out, then switching it with an un-gimmicked one's insert, albeit it being cut shorter.

Maintaining and repairing the gimmick pertains to the gimmick itself and that "something extra" and not necessarily the writing ability of it. "Something" has come loose inside the gimmicked ??? It has been spoken of by a number of people who have posted on this thread. Craig Petty had mentioned in his post dated May 12th and indicated there was going to be a section pertaining to the "Maintainence and Repair of the Gimmick". I have watched the Chop Extra download and have not seen it.

I fixed my gimmick yesterday, took less than 5 minutes and I was out performing with in 30 minutes later, it's really not that hard.

PM me if you need help.

P.S - This is the hands down effect of the year in my opinion.

I got an invoice for the download emailed to me, but no mention of the password question. Does this come in a separate email?

I got my Petty Chop today. Started to play with it but the DVD was defective. Penguin I sending a new one. Anyway, I love the Bill to Lemon ending. But I was also wondering if anyone has thought of using a dinner roll instead. Especially if one does not have a coat and is seated, or didn't want to deal with some juice, or simply didn't plan ahead? There was an old TT trick where you produced a bill this way. Very easy to load and then you just break the roll open and there is the bill. No TT needed most times. One would just need to grab a roll during the meal and put it in the lap and be ready to go. Craig, if you read this, what do you think? Maybe I will send a PM. Thoughts welcome. Looks like a great routine and playing with it I see how creative and clever it is. Thanks, Craig.

The password is something mentioned by Craig during the course of teaching the routine in the DVD.

I just love using "Chop". I've been using it since last spring. One day I modified my routine by ending with the final load apparently in "The Light" by Christopher Congreave. Together, These work together incredibly well and are my best magic purchases of 2011 by far.

So, I am looking for a different presentation for this one. don't want to copy what craig is doing, so I was looking for some kind of reason, why the ball is jumping, or something that explains the relationship of the ball to the cup.
How do you guys present Chop??

I have shortened it considerably. I like to start it like Craig with the "bar betcha" but I leave out the next phase where the ball appears on the table instead of the specs cupped hands.
I make it appear once or twice more, also in the specs hand but then I move right into the final load.

I think Craig does his routine wonderfully and it has a lot of variations. I mean, in how many entertaining ways can you actually make a little ball appear? It's a bit too long for me but Craig pulls it off nicely and makes it entertaining.

Read some other threads here at the café about regular chop cup routines and most guys thinks it's better to move on to the final loads and I have to agree.
