Here is some for information on my new effect 'Chop'
CHOP Craig Petty has finally released a routine which has been his closer for over 2 years. A signed bill and a regular cup are used to perform the most stunning 7 phase Chop Cup style routine you will ever see. To finish, a real lemon appears and the bill is visibly pushed into the lemon, leaving your hands empty. At this point the lemon can be examined before it is cut open to reveal the spectators signed bill inside - KILLER! Only one balled up note used throughout the entire Chop Cup routine Regular cup that can be examined at any time by the audience Perform moves you couldn't dream of doing with a regular Chop Cup Use any table surface or even the spectator's hand - perfect for real world conditions Includes a special bonus routine 'Sharp' using a Sharpie Marker which is the perfect lead in to CHOP or a great stand alone effect. You can see a special preview for it on the latest Wizard Product Review Link to show - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCPLJQRH3MAThis Thanks again guys Craig |

Hi Mike, it's being released at Blackpool.
It'll be available from World Magic Store immediately after and then shortly after that from your favourite dealer via Murphys. Hope this helps. Craig |

Chop by Craig Petty . This is a any cup any bill chop cup routine . Craig has taken this to the next level . The only thing with the current chop cups out there now it most of them are gimmicked . Where the cup in the routine is any cup . And there are many different phrases in Chop . And for the final kicker there bill is show to melt through the lemon . The spectators then check the lemon and then the magician and cuts the lemon in half to see the signed bill in their . This is the best chop cup routine out there . Once again Craig well done

...and can the slick lemon thing be separated from the chop aspect?
We dance an invisible dance to music they cannot hear.

This looks good. It also looks a lot like John Carney's Fruit Cup routine.
Now appearing nightly in my basement.

Sounds incredible!
Does the bill have to be "visibly" pushed inside the Lemon, or can the lemon just appear under the cup and then cut open, to find the bill inside? I prefer that effect, rather than a penetration. It would also be useful to hear how practical this routine is. What are the angles like and is it an instant reset? AP. |

I am assuming there is a gimmick involved with CHOP, a m*gnet or something (too many letters?). Carney's Fruit Cup is a classic. It's only aggrivating becuase it has a table hopper off the cuff feel but obviously a signficant reset that prevents it from being a table hopper. If someone says they keep a sack of prepared lemons off to the side, that is cheating.

I don't think there's a gimmick with Chop...

If someone says they keep a sack of prepared lemons off to the side, that is cheating. That's not cheating as far as I'm concerned! If the only reset I have to do with this is go to my case, grab another lemon and put it in my pocket, I'm happy! The thing that does concern me, is since the lemon is examined by a spectator then cut open to find the bill inside, is how convincing this procedure is, since it sounds impossible! If it is convincing, I'll be buying this at Blackpool! Craig, please can you tell us how much it is? AP. |

The routines are angle proof and all the performances are real world. If you end with the bill in the lemon the only reset is to grab another lemon. However there are other endings where you don't have to use the bill in lemon finale. Hope this helps Craig Quote:
