Er, I didn't mean to just quote the above post. What I meant to add is: great idea!

Does anyone know where to get this in the UK?
I see it's available in the US but I've been stung pretty bad by import tax in the past and the delays it incurs. |

I agree...I don't think this is a strong enough effect. But that's just me.

Sorry if this has been asked already, been away for some time and just getting back into the mix here, been renovating my new house me and the lady bought 2 months ago and not much time to read through 10 pages. N-E-Way...
Is there a gimmick involved, or not? Also, does this work 100% of the time, or is this one of those effects that even when you master it, it has a 95% hit rate? Thanks, much appreciated Paul |

There is a gimmick and it can be done with 100% accuracy. Only human error would get in the way of that.
It's all in the reflexes.

I do a combination of powerball 60 and exact change and get good responses.

I am not sure if this was asked already, but can this be done in any kind of pocket?
For example, shorts and cargo shorts? |

A pattern I see a lot on the Café is page upon page of talking about an effect (regardless of issue) then virtually nothing after release. Shame, as it feels like I've done a lot wading to get to... well not very much bar one excellent review/comparison by Lumberjohn & an interest in buying IPC because of the respect I've gained for Cosmo.
I now have EC & I'm extremely pleased with it, I've also become addicted to practicing. I tried the partner test after very little practice & the reaction was not only very strong but seemed to grow quickly the more she thought about it. The effect is very easy to pick up, though some values can prove a little more work than others. I like the gimmick & I'm not bothered at all about the fact a similar item can be bought for a few dollars, as this is a modified version of that item and has a few additional features, including one that comes in pretty handy for UK coins. Plus I didn't think of it, so I find the people out there (on other forums) exposing and deriding the effect because of price to be pretty disrespectful. In the DVD Greg briefly talks about a UK configuration & I wondered if anyone has any alternative configs or setups? The UK config Greg suggests works well but has a minor limitation, where on occasion another coin needs to be introduced. Greg says this is for speed but at times it can be the only solution. I'd be really interested to hear people's thoughts and any modifications they've made. |

My hesitation in geting this is the thought of opening a packet and finding a standard pocket sized coin dispenser such as you get in any shop for $5 and paying $70 for it http://www.coindispenser.com/ (that sort of thing) should I be worried?

Just because a similar piece of "equipment" is available elsewhere online, please do not think its right to just post it up on here for everyone to see
respect Greg for the time, effort and work he has put into his complete product" exact change" and buy it from him!!!!! |

Look. We are all smart bunch. You've probably figured out the method or gimmick, but are hoping for something truly diabolical. Ask yourself how many times you've seen a marketed item, bought it, and the method or gimmick was as magicall as the effect? Right, not so often. You're buying Greg's work and handling. That is the cost. A mislaid bill is only "worth" a dollar, but many of us have spent 20x that for one. We buy knowledge, props and gimmicks. In almost all cases, the knowledge is 90% of the value.
EC is a simple and direct effect. It is not "easy" to perform and the method will take a certain amount of commitment. But what good trick doesn't?
"it's bad luck to be superstitious."

Very well written. R&D is expensive. You can't piece meal effects to their parts and then expect a miracle. It's a package deal.
