I am not happy with my ability to work the card-to-wallet effect with the Mullica wallet. Moving from the card selection to the "load" position is my problem. The card palm seems too awkward for my skill level. Any other ideas?

The Mullica wallet is supposed to be a NO palm card-to-wallet. What I do is control the selected card to the top of the deck. Get the Mullica wallet into my right hand and, in effect, do a top change to load the card under the wallet.
Hope that helps. Ted

Thanks, Ted. I will give that a try.

I have the Mullica wallet and will support Ted's advice.
There is absolutely no need to palm the card into the wallet. Have a look at the DVD which will go through a few basic loading methods. Regards, Ryan |

Ryan,
The DVD that was included with the Mullica was about as bad as it gets when it comes to instruction. Ideas for getting to the "load" step were poor, at best. Thanks for the follow-up. Tommy |

As I said Tommy, the DVD is basic.
Have a play and do as Ted says, a top palm like movement should be suitable. Ryan |

Try having a look at the F1 Wallet by Jason Rea. Alakazam launched it at Blackpool this year.

I know I am late to the party, but the 5 minute DVD I got had Tom in his Las Vegas home describing the effect in about 5 minutes and yes, it is a no palm card to wallet.
Seems easy and pretty straight forward - here is my review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTPShW0sePI |

I used to perform the Mullica Wallet all the time. My advice with respect to the load: Keep it simple.

Agreed, and I threw in some tips for people who might not be used to carrying a coat wallet ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTPShW0sePI ) I wonder who sells this in the states? I see it sold out almost everywhere I go

For what it's worth, when I'm not wearing a jacket, I put the Mullica Wallet in my right hip pocket. When I reach for the wallet with my right hand, I'm holding the deck in my left hand. As I turn my body slightly to the left and look to the right before taking out the wallet, I spread the top card of the deck with my left hand, and take a break under it. This makes the load very straight-forward.

My only problem with the card to walet is my choice in wallets. I have a small, pants pocket sized, wallet (Triple Threat). So there is not as much cover, and the Mullica is a little tight. It is still doable but I need to get a jacket pocket wallet. It helped when I removed the bulky snap and put in velcro strips. I also think the noise of the velcro makes the wallet seem more secure, I wish it had a zipper.
I have no pockets to speak of as I live in board shorts - so the walleet is in my purse (call a man bag whatever you want it is still a purse ha ha). |
