The new round gimmicks make it a LOT easier to prepare the performance. For me it was enough reason to switch to 2.0!

Many greetings, Oli

What happened to that special discount for version the second that Mr. Hecklau was supposedly offering (via Mr. Brooks here at the Café)to those who had already purchased version the first?

I signed up at his Web site but never heard back.

Did anybody else get that?

This is a really amazing effect. It's not the style of trick I normally perform but I am going to get this anyway.

I got a discount... but I recall it had a time limit.

One thing I really appreciate about Newsflash 2.0 is the express set-up of the Tabloid version. First of all local tabloid newspapers are available for free just about everywhere around my house. Secondly, I will practice an effect like this about 500 times over several months before I put it in a show. The express set-up allows me to do this easily and quickly. No glue, no complicated set-ups just a very fast and easy set-up. I remember setting up the Slydini newspaper tear over and over and the time it would take to make enough of them to practice with. With the Newsflash 2.0 express set-up I can practice quickly and efficiently!

This is one great Newspaper tear from performance, to set-up to the great instructional DVD!

I would be interested to know if there are any compromises with the express set up, if this is giving anything away I would appreciate a pm.
Thanks Rowland

My newsflash 2 is in route from Hecklau. I have performed the Anderson tear for many years, but have become intrigued by the rave reviews for newsflash. Looking forward to performing a new variation. Enjoy sharing your magic.

Newsflash arrived. Deutche Post to USPS to Atlanta within a week. Clean, organized package. DVD is clear and complete. Templates and add on's are very helpful.
While I have used the Anderson tear for years. I am eager to give this a try, especially with the subtle handling at reveal. Had not considered the index fingers. Nuf said Smile

I just wanted to add how great I think this is. I purchased version 1 and most recently version 2. I find the set up a breeze, and enjoy setting it up more than the andersone version which I have performed for years.

Performed this again this morning with a band onstage behind me and they could not believe it.
Thanks Axel! Great stuff

Hi all,

I'm about to set-up the large newspaper size in the "surrounded" version.

A question before I go out and buy two identical newspapers. Since I destroy one copy of the newspaper in every performance, don't I need many more copies of the news papers - like 10 copies. I assume you want to restore the same front of the news paper every time, meaning the news paper you present before you begin the tearing process is also the same news paper you restore it back too?

Or, am I missing something?

hope you can help me out.

Best regards

Jan

Mr. Hecklau, just answered the above post.

Answer is, you need 10 copies of the same newspaper to perform newsflash surrounded 10 times with the same set-up. Makes sense.

Out bying news papers, thick sunday editions are probably the best, since there are many sections, allowing for multiple set-ups that can be reused.

Bets regards

Here is another hint to get cheap newspaper.

There are many free papers in tabloid format
or here is what I did for Broadsheet paper:

I went to my local newspaper-printer. They get the papers back, that they haven´t sold so
I showed the warehouse manager a trick and 123 my car was full of identical newspapers ;-3
Try this - more to say "NO" cannot happen

Only if you like to perform allways with an actual copy this doesn´t work.

@Axel: This works fine, after Newsflash arrived two weeks ago I went to our local gasoline station, they gave me a HUGE heap of identical newspapers (BILD.... Smile ).

I use fee Tabloid style newspapers all the time. I get them at the grocery store, pharmacy, library, etc. They are all over the place.
