Thanks. Never thought I would replace my Slydini Newspaper Tear but the ease of set-up and the Flash restoration sold me. Really easy to do as well.

Nice video Mike! Thanks for sharing. I like the Tabloid Xpress version too. But since also have been practicing with USAToday - this version you can show all the pages of the inside of the newspaper in the beginning - but it takes more setup.
Newsflash 2.0 is wonderful. Axel does a great job explaining everything in detail. You can follow everything step-by-step easily. |

Well today after destroying TONS of newspapers...I am finally going to head out and try it as my opener! This will be a first time I perform this for anyone...I went with the Tabloid Express version, which is so quick to setup, and so visual...the downfall of the express FAR outweighs anything else...I can deal with not showing the audience one page...they have no idea anyways! Well hope it goes well!!

Where can I buy the Newsflash 2.0?
I see it on the Axel Hecklau's website, http://www.axelhecklau-shop.com/lng/en/n......etc.html But is there anywhere more convenient for purchase in Canada or North America? Thanks, Curtis |

Axel does not sell his products through dealers. I purchased this directly from him and it was mailed from Germany to Canada with no problem.

Curtis, Buying directly from Axel Hecklau is the only way to get his products as he doesn't wholesale to dealers. I purchased Newsflash 2.0 and it arrived within a week.

Newsflash 2.0 is only available from Axel. You could try to find one for sale on the Café. Maybe put out a WTB in the sale section?

Un-be-freakin'-lieveable! The pirates are selling this for $5 with Axel's name on it! A download, and nothing else! I gotta get ahold of Axel. He needs to know this. This is exactly what we are fighting when we buy from AXEL HIMSELF! Makes me sick...

Agree with Dave. I was nervous to order from overseas but have several products from Axel including NF 2.0. Excellent product and service.

This is an excellent Newspaper tear+restore trick. Its strongest points are:
1) Axel really cared to cover every imaginable newspaper worldwide, so no "this doesn't work with my local paper". 2) Several versions, one can even be performed surrounded. 3) On the DVDs, Axel explains every single detail. Even a beginner can easily follow his instructions. 4) It includes a "Cue card to poster" effect using the same principle and gimmick. The newspaper tear and restore takes some preparation work and quite a bit practice. th cue card to poster effect also takes some preparation work, but not as much, and is very easy to perform. I did this as a closer for a lecture the same day (!) I received it. The specatators were unaware that I was doing a magic trick, so there is no heat whatsoever, and I had this stunning closer to my lecture. |

Newsflash 2.0 versus the Anderson tear. Anyone with thoughts on the pros and cons of both?

You can't go wrong buying Gene's book, called "The Book." He explains the paper tear on page 234. How cool is it that this is the version that Doug Henning used?!? However, these days I perform Newsflash 2.0. I love it that the gimmicks are ma*****, the restore is instant, you don't have to bend wi** around, the reset is mess free and quick, etc. I have performed both the Newsflash full sized newspaper version, and more recently, the Tabloid Express. The reset on Newsflash isn't bad at all (I use the same "restored" paper for at least a dozen performances). However, the rest of the Tabloid Express is incredible. No glue! I did it over and over and over in my school assemblies last year. I also love it that Axel has figured out a way to tear the paper without all of those "wayward tears." This was huge for me. The Newsflash 2.0 dvd is one of the best instructional dvd's I own. Not only is the magic great, but his way of teaching is so clear and thorough that I can't imagine anyone being unhappy with it.

Thank you for the comparison. Have used Gene's for years and was wondering if Newsflash would be more effective. Have Gene's book and love the details, the quotes and the complete package. |

Sorry, is there a version for Italian newspapers?
I read US, tabloid, broadshett newspapers and I'm not sure if it fits my country's newspaper format. Thanks |
